There isn't correct way to write this review. I will spoil it for the next reader, let me explain that page after page it's action pack. There is a shocker in every chapter. All I can say is I know the keyboard was smoking after C.N. Phillips was finished I know she was amazed herself. She truly has a gift and 5 stars wasn't enough for this classic and this is another novel that should hit the BIG SCREEN. SPOILER.....JUST KNOW REAL KINGS DON'T DIE
This was the bomb....... good from beginning to end. I will be buying more books from in the future. A fan for life. This book went out with a bang. 5 plus stars
Miss Philips does it again. I didn't expect that ending I'm glad you brought him back. Liking forward to reading some more of your work. #owlsupporter Long live the king
I didn't like this one because I didn't like how the unrealistic ways that the characters Sadie 7 especially Ray had survived their certain, in REAL WORLD deaths. Sadie's heart is on the RIGHT INSTEAD OF THE LEFT?! EVERYONE'S HEART IS CLOSELY CENTERED SLIGHTLY ON THE LEFT ! WHY IS SADIE'S ON THE RIGHT????! UNREALISTIC AF! Then there's Ray GETTING A VAST OF ACID POURED ALL OVER HIM YET HE SURVIVED BECAUSE HE DIDN'T OPEN HIS MOUTH DURING THAT ACID ATTACK??????! UNREALISTIC AF! ACID WILL EAT YOUR SKIN UP SO HAVING A VAST OF ACID POURED ON ANYONE WILL TURN ONE INTO NOTHING IN A MATTER OF MINUTES IF NOT SECONDS, WHETHER YOUR MOUTH WAS OPENED DURING THE ACID ATTACK OR NOT! Sadie was on a mission of revenge which in many ways may've gotten in the way of other things in the story. I don't like how she felt that she had to attack new characters who Tyler got to help them get revenge against KHIRON & take back their organization. Yeah, KHIRON GOT WHAT MOST PEOPLE BELIEVED HE DESERVED IN THE END, BUT I'm in THE MINORITY of readers who FELT THAT MOCHA SHOULDHAVE BEEN SPARED, GIVEN SHE HAD BEEN FORCED INTO HELPING KHIRON COME AT SADIE, RAY, & EVERYONE ELSE CONSIDERED FAMILY. Plus, Mocha was on her way to be with a guy who understood her situation before that guy got GOT & Mocha was kidnapped so Sadie could Kill her herself. Actually, after Book 1 had KHIRON say: "And That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you take over an empire.", I found myself expecting Book 2 to be better than the first book & wondering what a KHIRON-ran empire would look like. Needless to say, it didn't look like how I had imagined because the writer brought back characters in an unrealistic manner that should have been a memory.
If I could I'd give this book 3.5 stars. It was way better than the 1st book. There were still some inconsistencies in this book though. And there were a few parts that were in my opinion unbelievable and unrealistic. And a part that was very, very unbelievable to me and if u read both books you'd kinda side eye the situations. 1 part which was a major plot was too predictable ( I figured it out in the 1st book). I didn't have high hopes for this book considering how disappointed I was with the 1st book but I went into this book with a little skepticism and although I didn't end the book like "oooh I loved this book! I need more" I wasn't disappointed with it. Still not sure if I would recommend this to anyone. But it was a quick read and much better than the last. Am I glad it ended? Yes. Do I wish I could get a refund and never read it? Yes.
Great Read!!! I have a new found respect for Sadie and to know that Ray was still alive for both of them to find out who their grandfather was this book was a real roller coaster ride. Khiron and Mocha got what they deserved especially Mocha how could you do that to your best friend/sis. If you get this book part 1&2 you want be disappointed. Miss Phillips did that.
I jumped into this thinking that I read the first one. Not quite. While it was a somewhat entertaining read, it had it's typos and other errors. They weren't that distracting. But, still. Sadie and co weren't likable characters. But I don't think it mattered. I'll still read the first part.
I didn't see the cliffhanger in this one. C.N. you did this book no justice. I liked how the ending paid off for The Last Kings that was left standing.
I think this was the best one out of all the books in the series. So many surprises. I was crying tears of happiness and sadness at the same time by the end
Great job CN!!! With minimal errors the book flowed so well. Sadie is back and more ruthless than before. I already knew she would be ready for whatever. Mocha went completely downhill after her betrayal. I didn't even feel bad for her because the decisions she chose caused all her problems. Legacy was a new touch to the cartel but Lace talked entirely too much. Yes Tyler!!! Along with Looney, Tyler was able to find out all the information he needed. Khiron's greed caused him to stay making deals without thinking things through. I just wanted anybody to handle him for all the trouble he caused. My how things began to heat up after the meeting. Even though there was some blood shed, the things revealed had me saying damn! I was too mad with Sadie for being so hard headed though because she wanted to handle things her way. Don is who?! Oh my!!! I wasn't expecting that at all. That visitor though!!! Yes!!!! Those who betrayed the Last Things deserved everything they got and more. I was glad those involved were able to get their happy ending and show everyone that Kings really don't die!!! Excellent read!!!
Once again, C.N. Phillips did a wonderful job. She is version of A&J. I'm happy that she's part of OWL team. The Last Kings 2: Long Live the King is a wonderful read. I enjoyed reading this book because it's caught me attention. I like the concept and vibe for this book. Also, I enjoyed reading each of characters in this book. The storyline always on point.
Mocha and Khiron finally got their deserved because each of them are dead wrong and selfish. I'm shocked and surprised that Sadie, Ray and Tyler are still alive. Ms. Phillips takes her time to writing this book. I did take my time reading this book. I have learned a lot in this book. I felt bad what's happen to Loon. I recommend anyone who hasn't read this book, this book is a really good and I'm promise you that you will not disappointed. This book and author deserve five stars from me. I'm looking forward to read another book from this author.
Cn Phillips did her thing in this one I enjoyed this one more then the first . From the beginning had me glued .almost every page was filled with a exposed secret .. I just had to finish this book today .. My mind was going crazy Trynna figure out who don wife daughter and dead son .. When I found out who was related to him I almost couldn't believe it .. His wife was the last person I had expected .. The element of surprise is real nothing like a good twist I don't think this is the end of the last kings
This sequel follows up on the lives of Sadie and Mocha. Sadie is relentless in her quest for revenge and to regain the power of The Last Kings. Mocha is trying her best to survive as she lives with her deceit on a daily basis. This book was very emotional and really focuses on the different types of love in the characters' lives. Great ending C.N. Phillips. You did your thing. I highly recommend this book. It does not disappoint.
A really great read! There wasn't anything that I didn't like about this book. The story line flowed, the editing was perfect and the characters had you in your feelings. This was a great book that showcased women taking on the role of a boss, showing their power and yet still being women. I love Tyler!!!
CN Phillips has nailed it again! The character development, surprises and family connections will keep you flipping until you get to an amazing surprise ending. Can't wait to read more and more from this awesome author.
This was a excellent read! The author has a phenomenal pen game! It was an emotional rollercoaster and had me speaking out loud. Ashley I'm so happy you introduced us to C.N. Phillips! I'm definitely a fan!! BRAVO!
This book definitely caught me by surprise and I must say it was the bomb,I loved Sadie, she was determined and always ready for whatever,my emotions were up n down but overall I was happy with the way this ended, Awesome read CN PHILLIPS
