A compilation of articles written for a local newspaper about the author's life on a Maine farm. Mainly about farming and gardening, nothing much happens, but that is country life. The author skilfully turns relatively mundane events into very readable and entertaining essays. I enjoyed this book enough for me to order the sequel.
