There have been gigantic shifts in the music biz paradigm since the internet. No longer can musicians count on record sales as their main source of income.
Brae understands this and reveals successful methods for bands to monetize their music.
If you're in a band or a solo artist, technology has enabled you inexpensively to have a presence online potentially reaching millions of fans all over the world.
But it's a Catch 22 because you're not alone in trying to promote your music.

You need to get your music exposed by touring-playing live shows. The author shows you how to get a packed house at your shows, even if you're initially not getting a big audience, when on stage.
As far as the internet goes, why spend a lot of money creating your own website, when social networks, will essence do it for free? Plus you will get the benefit of crowd sourcing.

Since people don't buy albums like they used to, you need to release individual songs/tracks when they are done. Fans will still buy or stream your new songs, keeping your group in the spotlight.

There is so much research he did in compiling this book and it is extremely well written.

As a budding musician myself, getting one's music heard is the hardest part of being a musician.

"Music Distribution: Selling Music in the New Entertainment Marketplace" discusses the modern music industry and the distribution processes that one can best utilize in order to give themselves their best chance of getting attention.

There is a treasure trove of stuff in here all outlined in an easy to read format.

The author has real cred in the music biz from what I gather.
