Do you consider patience as a frustrating process in the Christian life? Have you ever believed God for something, and then felt like you were shoved into a prison called ‘patience’ while you suffered, served your time, until finally God graciously opened His hand to grant your request?
It is time to strip away these misconceptions and take a new look at the powerful combination of faith and these dynamic twin forces of patience in the believer’s life. In fact, the closer we look at the powerful DNA of faith, we will see the double helix of these two forces of patience that give faith its true backbone of strength to overcome.
This book will give you a new perspective on how your faith will manifest God’s reality in your life, and how each force of patience will position you to consistently walk in this victory of faith.
Timothy Jorgensen is one of those new breed teachers that not only knows how to teach principles, but is also able to make it graspable and applicable to your life.
This book has arguably the most precise explanation of supernatural faith and how it works I have ever read. It's so precise, almost to the point that it becomes technical.
Curry Blake (Overseer of JGLM) said "the power of God works more mechanical than you would like to think". A controversial statement to some, but looking at his track record should at least make you think about that statement. Having read quite a lot of John G. Lake's material, it always struck me how "technical" he describes the coworking of the Spirit of God with our spirits.
This book has that same "technical flavor" to it. It's never spooky or vague and always grounded in a great study of the Word of God. It contains great excercises to train your faith and your standfastness "hupomone" and "makrothumia".
Don't be fooled by its small size. There is more good stuff crammed into it's 60+ pages than in most books four times it's size.
If you are a relatively new believer, I would recommend first reading Timothy's other book "Spirit Life Training" or something like Roberts Liardon's "School of the Spirit". As this book assumes you have some basic understanding of faith and the authority we have as sons of God.
