What I liked about the novel...

This was definitely one of those reads that had so many twist and turns and action packed that will hold your attention as you are reading this well written story. What a story of such pain that Amira had to endure in this game of chess. From the loss of her brother, close friends then joining 'La Famila' will she finally get the respect she deserves? Will this help her build up some confidence with killing abilities becoming more dangerous? This author does a good job at letting the reader feel Amira's pain in this urban fiction read. All the characters for the most point are a intriguing group and I will say a few did had me shaking my head. This author really gives the reader something to think about with the main character starting out very innocent but omg in the end Amira is one deadly....person to reckon with. I will stop here and say to find out what all the author has in store for Amira you will have to pick up the read to find out. In the end you will find out that you will have to go to the sequel to see what is next for Amira.

A Queen's Checkmate was a well written and thought provoking novel…. The pain that I felt for Amira was so unbearable because that pain ruin her entire life and the way she dealt with things in life and with people…. The twist and turns and the shockers in this book was great, and held my interest throughout the story…. I truly felt like I was watching a movie instead of reading a book. Amira was playing a game and chess and she was playing a mean game but will she lose everything in this game of chess/ revenge that she is playing.

The characters all complimented one another and made the story flow from page to page…..

In conclusion the moral of this story is sometime Revenge can be deadly and not worth all the extra pain it will cause…… I am on to part two to see what's going to happen in this deadly game of chess beware only one person can checkmate…...

Wow that book was hella good.I definitely wasn't expecting that at the beginning of the book for.I wanted to cry for Jahmere that is awful to have to watch what he had to.Then for her to have to wake up to seeing that wow.Im glad Pulse got wat he deserved.Ace was a good uncle and I know it hurt Amira.Charles and Sasha didn't deserve that either but they asses shouldn't have been playing around and have been on time.Now Laron and Capone are stupid.Im pissed Capone did that to Amira and Bri$$.That ending was expected but then again some of it wasn't,can't wait to read part two

This book had me from the very first page... It pulled you in and you immediately fell in love and wanted to protect Amira because we felt her pain from what she endured. I fell in love with Amon, because he was the epitome of what a big brother is, he was her protector, he never criticized her, he just came in a saved the day..... There were so many twists and turns and surprises in this one, I literally read this book in a day because I just couldn't get enough

This is my first book I read from Kierra, but it won't be my last. This book was very good, and held little to no errors. It was action packed from start to finish. Amira was hit with many obstacles that nobody can seem to handle, but her. I gave this book 5 * because it was worth it. I can't wait for part 2.

Great read. Amira's tragic events cause her to move to Florida with her grandparents. In Miami, she teams up with a ruthless people that help build up her confidence & killing abilities. After the tragic death of 2 close friends, she becomes more dangerous. In the end, she is caught off guard but I'm sure she will come out on top in part 2.

THE STORY STARTED OFF GREAT SO I KNEW IT WAS GOING TO GET BETTER BUY THE TIME I WAS HALF WAY THREW THAT AMERIA WAS SOMETHING ELSE SHE MEANT BUSINESS AND NOTHING MORE TILL SHE MATE BRI$$..I LIKE THEM TOGETHER DON'T KNOW WATS GOING TO HAPPEN WIT THEM BOUT TO READ PART 2 NOW AND CAPONE HE IS A JEALOUSLY HEART THUG IMAGINE THAT BUT HE'S A LEADER
