Ocean Submerged

Rate this book
Twenty-seven year old Ocean Hawthorne thought he'd known loss and pain when his twin sister Stormie died. It was his fault the world would no longer see her beautiful smile or hear her captivating laughter. The former world champion in the vicious world of MMA fighting thought he'd been through the worst and has now carried that guilt and pain with him since. Then he met Livie Acosta.

The moment he laid his eyes on the exotic beauty, he was hooked. In that split second of looking into her wild and hurt eyes, his heart began to beat again. He knew then that he would never be able to let her go... but was that the right thing for him to do? Because yet again, Ocean found himself surrounded by a familiar darkness, a pain so strong that even breathing hurt, and living felt impossible. He'd pushed too far in the effort to love and help her, and now... now he didn't know if he'd ever see her again.

Lawrence Hawthorne has been through the ringer when it came to hurt and disappointment, but nothing could have prepared him for the possibility of losing Livie. He'd just found her and now-well, now he didn't know what to think. To him, Livie was more than just a girl, more than just a friend. To Law, Livie was someone he needed to help and protect, even from herself, and he'd failed that simple task. Will the Hawthorne cousins who have sworn to protect Livie survive her selfish act, or will they crumble, yet again?

Oceans Collide left me brimming with two main questions: did Livie survive? What happens now?

In Ocean Submerged, we not only get answers but we get more questions brimming to unfold...

So the story in a jiffy:

With Livie’s altercation still in the air, we once again get reaquainted with Ocean, Livie, and Law and follow them as they cope with events, their pasts, and even their futures.

Sounds simple right? Not.

M.A. DeOlmos definitely ups the ante in this sequel as emotions will be toyed, heavy subject matters and new characters will arise, and the stakes are much higher. Ocean is really put through the ringer in this as we see his deepest fears come out and the darkness threatening to unfold. Will he see the light at the end of the tunnel? What about Livie? Did she make it or not? What will become of her fate? And Law? How does he fare off in all of this? Will he be able to protect Livie like he swore to? Or will he (and Ocean) fail?

Read and you will find out! I can't wait for Book 3 already!! I want it NOW!!

*I received an ARC via the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!!*

Ocean Hawthorne thought for a moment he was going to lose everything again, his world Livie Acosta. When Livie is sent to rehab and the healing is about to begin, but Ocean is fighting demons about the possibility of losing her.

Lawrence Hawthorne has his own rampant feelings about Livie that he is struggling with. As Livie begins to come to terms with her own demons, you are swept into a world that will wrench you into a an unexpected story that will have you reaching out for the next one.

I have to admit that unfortunately I did not read the first book. That being said, definitely going to get it and then reread this one again. Every emotion you hope to get from a book, you do with this one. I loved the characters, Ocean is a jerk but so utterly in love with Livie you forgive him from his manly ways. Law, wowza talk about melting your heart. Livie is empty in the beginning, she is confused, hurt, just every emotion you would expect given the circumstances. I think that the author brilliantly writes an intense story that has you so involved you feel like you are part of it. Excellent read.

Yes! This is book two.

After a shocking and dark beginning, just when I couldn't take it anymore, the fun started. :) Everything was a surprise, especially the ending.

There is a lot more to Livie, Ocean, Law, and the awesome new character, Blue. :-) I hope to read at least four more books in this series. PLEASE?!

Wow. Even better than I ever imagined.

Read book 1, Oceans Collide, first. :)

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Ocean's Collide, book #1 in the Oceans Trilogy, was my first read for 2014 and it was PHENOMENAL! I couldn't wait to get into Ocean Submerged ♥

Again I find myself in the same position I did the first time. How do I write this review? As with Ocean's Collide, Ocean Submerged was an extremely emotional read for me!

From the very beginning Ocean Submerged had me reaching for the Kleenex and my anxiety levels peaking! I can feel Ocean's urgency and panic to get to Livie, and when he gets to her my heart just about stops and again it feels like I'm right there living it!

Ocean and Law both love Livie, and there's a moment between them that's so raw, honest, real, and filled with emotion!♥

Aunt Layla is a gem and I'm grateful that Livie has her in her corner ♥ Ocean is in pain and I fully understand how he's feeling, that total despair that comes with those left behind after suicide/attempted suicide, that feeling of "was I not enough to make you want to stay?"

When Livie has to leave for rehab my heart just shatters for Ocean and it's a full on a snot fest!

Ocean loves Livie with such an intense passion that I actually hurt! I can only look at the relationship between Livie, Ocean, and Law and admire their bond.

The drive to the centre sets me off again and I'm crying buckets! Ocean has to leave Livie and at this point I have to stop reading, I'm so emotionally overwhelmed and it really feels like I'm living this story page for page.

Marion~There's so much to say about her♥ she's perfect for the role she plays at the centre. Having been a "Livie" herself she understands the girls and she's straight forward and honest. Livie is in good hands!

The boys are having a hard time without Livie and each one is dealing with his pain and heartache in his own way, I'm glad they've at least got each other♥

Through all the tears and drama we have cupid working his magic ♥ Law meets his match in Dulce ♥ They've only just met, and he's already gone all Alpha on her and wants to protect her♥

The bond between Dulce and Livie is special, they connected from the word go and an added bonus is their boys are also tight! These 4 people are really special, and they share a very rare bond ♥

Release day arrives and Law works his magic, and what he does just makes my heart swell with love for this amazing human being ♥

Their reunion is threatened by the darkness of Dulce's past, but the showdown ends even before it starts, these Hawthorne boys are something else!

The last chapter is a twist and totally unexpected and I feel winded! Melissa you've outdone yourself!!!

Way beyond a ★★★★★ read!

Ocean has been sitting in Livie's room at the hospital refusing to leave for weeks. The only reason that he had clean clothes was because of Law. He didn't like the idea of anybody taking care of his Livie. So he learned how to give sponge baths so he could take care of her himself. She finally woke up when Ocean was ready to punch Law in the face. Livie has to go into rehab for one month, with visitation only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. When they got to the rehab facility Ocean didn't want her to go because he knew that he was going to end up going back to the way he was before he met Livie. The drugs, sleeping with random girls. While at the rehab center she met her roommate Dulce and they connected right away. She helped Livie when she needed it. On her way back to her room from physical therapy Oscar one of the people who works at the center walked right into the room and had Dulce pinned to the wall by her throat, Livie protected Dulce and she got a bruise on her arm because Oscar grabbed her.Ocean was late for the first visitation day and he showed up with hickies on both sides of his neck. Livie was so upset by it and she needed to go back to her room to get her brace and Ocean went with her and asked her what happened and she wouldn't tell him. But he put it together when Oscar showed up at Livie's door. Livie and Dulce were released on the same day and Dulce went home with Livie, Ocean, and Law.
Livie will fight with all her power to keep her relationship with Ocean. Dulce is Livie's friend and roommate, she doesn't trust guys easily. Law has found the one that he wants to be with in Dulce, beat up Ocean the next day after Ocean hurt his jaw. Ocean started doing coke again when Livie went into rehab, he seems very scared that he is going to loose Livie, he made her promise that if she met someone in rehab that she would go with him. Layla the one who was taking care of Livie, says that Livie is part of the family. Unk- is Ocean's dad, Law's uncle and Layla's brother. Santi is Livie's physical therapist. Oscar is mean, gross and he shouldn't be working at the rehab center he prays on the innocent victims.
This is an amazing it fit right in with the first book. I again I couldn't put this book down. I loved it. I loved how Law met his one and that he is going have to work to get her. I also loved that all the characters were very well developed. I loved how M.A. DeOlmos style of writing and I look forward to reading more of her books. I cant wait for the third book third book to this series because I really want to know what happens next. I found this author she is know one of my favorites and if I could give this book more then five stars I would. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has read the first book.

“ARC received in exchange for my honest review.”

Okay so you know that book and author you have stalked for almost a month waiting for the release date to pop up and then once you have it you check everyday just to see if it released early????? You know who you are.... and yes this is so me. When I got an email from author M.A. DeOlmos with an ARC of Ocean Submerged attached ( I’m smiling just thinking about it) you would have thought I had just won a new car with the scream I let out. So of course I popped that baby open because I had to know if Liv was going to make it or if Ocean would drown from losing her.

So what can I say about Ocean Submerged??? Just FREAKING WOW!! There is so much I want to tell you but I don’t want to give the story away. So I’ll sum up the need to know.

While Liv is in rehab fighting with her own demons, Ocean’s demons begin to surface while he is without her. He is drowning and this is where things get gritty and hard. I had no idea how torn and broken Ocean is. You can feel this mans pain as it comes off the pages at you. **Get the tissues girls because this man is going to break your heart.** Author M.A DeOlmos did an outstanding job at bringing Ocean’s feelings out for us the reader to feel and see. God it was so hard to read some of the pain this man is going through and his fears and needs that are just all consuming. You get the exact image of Ocean with his expression on his face. *Phenomenal Writing*

And now for the other Hawthorne man, Law. Eeek!!! I love Law and his confident swagger. HOT, HOT, HOT!!! Not only do we get to read more on Law but we are introduced to the woman that is going to turn his world upside down. Now only if he can get past her walls and earn her trust. The fabulous and I must say my new fav character Deluce "Blue" will have you in a laughing fit with her Spanish outbursts. She rocks and hopefully Law can rock her world as well. Okay that is all you are getting from me because I am about to burst here with all the juicy details.

Wait there’s more, the ending!!! *No I am not going to tell you the ending*
First I was in tears, happy sappy tears and then just utter shock. I swear you could have knocked me right off my chair I was sitting so close to the edge. But you all know I love a good CLIFFHANGER. So until author M.A DeOlmos releases book three, Ocean Calm I will continue to stalk her FB page for teasers.

My recommendation to you is to READ book one Oceans Collide and then on April 16th TOMORROW go and one click this baby because this series freaking rocks.

Thanks to the author, I was allowed to read an ARC of this book for an honest review. I had not read the first book, so I read it back to back with this book. I loved the first book and was glad that I had read them together and moved right into the second one. The first book was emotional, but on my goodness, the second one was even more so! I cried from page one and basically continued through most all of the book. My husband thought I was crazy and I made him take me out to eat to give me a "tear break." What a story! I read this book in one day because I had to know what happened! This series immediately joined the list of my favorites!

This book continues right where book one left off. We see yet again just how deeply Ocean loves Livie. Both Ocean and Law realize how important Livie is in their lives. They will do whatever they have to in order to get her help and have her back with them, even if it means having to give her up for a period of time. The only question is whether or not Ocean can survive without her or if he will fall into the pits of despair that he only recently climbed out of.

There were a times in this book that I wanted to slap Ocean...even though I knew he loved Livie and I loved him! The author does a great job of showing just how deeply Ocean loves. Law's character always tried to stay upbeat in front of people even when he was hurting inside. It was nice to see his character have some emotional times. I really enjoyed the interaction with Law and Dulce as they approached their tentative relationship. Livie had spent most of her life without getting close to people and in a short amount of time she became close to not only Law and Ocean, but Dulce too. The friendship between the two girls was refreshing to see.

The author does an exceptional job in these two books. I am hooked and cannot wait until book 3 comes out. There was not a major cliffhanger at the end of this book, but enough happened to make you ready for more. Ocean, Livie, Law and now Dulce are all very interesting and enticing characters. Great job Ms. DeOlmos! Five huge stars for this book and book #1!

Okay, M.A. DeOlmos you have completely gutted me.

Before I begin, I just want to say that as long as you believe in love at first sight you will be fine. This series will be perfect for you.

"Hey pervert! I'm up here!" She said pointing to her face with both her index fingers. Yes you are. Finally, the woman I was going to marry was staring me down, ready to kill me for being a freaking pervert. THANK YOU GOD! ~ Law

First off, of all the books I have read, the beginning of this one was one of the most emotional. I am NOT a spoiler kind of reviewer so I am having a hard time putting in to words why I feel this way. Let me just say that the days and events leading up to a certain extended stay for Livie will completely gut you. Rip your heart out and shred it. Forget a kleenex box, just grab the damn toilet paper roll.

I really feel you have to read book one before you attempt this one. You absolutely have to hear the back story to understand everything and book 2 not only immediately starts from where the the first one left off, it takes you back a few seconds before in Oceans POV which....will....gut....you.

Once again, be prepared to fall head over heels in love with Law and Ocean. These two men are so incredibly...... I don't know what words can really describe them best... sweet, hot, sensitive and definitely alpha.

It's hard to choose one over the other, in fact, there is no way I could.

We get to see a lot more of Oceans POV this time and that is why you need the toilet paper roll.

'My other half was gone, my mother left abandoning me when I needed her most, and the woman that I finally gave my heart to just tried to kill herself. I wasn't enough for anyone to stick around.' ~ Ocean

As in the first book, I was anxiously reading to get to the end hoping they would get their happily ever after since I was totally f*cked in book 1. Well guess what, right when you think... FINALLY M.A. DeOlmos throws in a three letter word that changes everything! WTF, you're killin me here!

I give Oceans Submerged 5 sad yet amazing stars!

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

Ocean Submerged is M.A. DeOlmos’ second book in her Ocean’s Trilogy. I was captivated from the first book which left me hanging on the edge and it was no different in the second book. I was pleasantly surprised with the beauty and love that overflowed throughout this book. All of the characters were more detailed and matured immensely from the first book.

Just when they found each other, Livie and Ocean are thrust apart by consequential events. This leaves both of them feeling a loss that is unbearable. Mending hearts, bodies and souls is of upper most concern in the telling of this story. Will Ocean and Livie finally find the peace they both desperately want?

For Law, the story is just beginning when he meets Livie’s new roommate, Dulce, who is battling her own demons. Has Law finally found his own Sunshine? Can Dulce trust Law enough to love again?

Read this book! You will NOT be disappointed! ~TSRBR

Cliffhanger: YES!

Would I recommend this book: Yes! From the beginning I was hooked and I still am. All of the author’s characters are amazing and I found myself drowning in the passion and circumstances captured on the pages of this book; I was left wanting more!

Would I recommend this author: Yes! This trilogy is one of the most beautifully put together pieces that I’ve ever read. I can’t wait to read the final book! Way to engage, Melissa!

This book starts exactly where book one ended. It starts with Liv, Ocean, and Law all struggling to come to terms with what has happened. Liv is in the hospital recovering from the injuries. Ocean is by her side fighting his demons that he knows are knocking on his conscious. Law is watching his two best friends fall apart and he only hopes and prays that he can keep them safe from their demons long enough for them to all heal. Liv is sent to a Rehabilitation Center to receive therapy for her injuries and suicide attempt. She has a fantastic roommate named Dulce that the reader quickly falls in love with. The boys are never far from her mind and she works hard to go home at the end of her thirty days. Dulce and Law begin their own journey as well. Ocean, however, meets his demons and it is evident to everyone that he is falling apart. This book continues to explore the realities of depression, guilt, love, forgiveness and trauma. The author doesn’t hedge these issues but presents them to the reader in such a manner that the reader embraces the struggles of the characters in an honest and emotionally filled way. The plot flows seamlessly from one character to the next. You always know what the character is thinking and can see the interactions as they unfold from each point of view. The reader is instantly captivated by each individual character in the story. Once again, the author leaves the story on a cliffhanger. I am truly addicted to this series. I am in love with Liv, Law, Ocean and Dulce. I could not put this book down once I started reading it.

Again, I was given this book to review along with the first in the series. I fell in love with them all in book 1, but in this part they get your soul too!! I love when a author writes so well that you are not only drawn into the story, but also feel the characters feelings. This series will get you hooked and wanting more and is a MUST read!!!

Liv is in the hospital fighting for her life. Ocean wont leave her side, and wont let anyone touch her. He is hurting, he can't understand why she didn't ask for help, but also blames himself for not rushing after her. He questions if he should stay once she is awake or leave. But even while unconscious she knows hes there, he can still calm her. Law, is running back and forth. He is trying to be strong for Liv and Ocean, but it is starting to take its toll. Law's mother makes arrangements for Liv once shes awake to go to a 30 day in house therapy/counselling center.

Taking Liv to the center is the hardest thing the family has to do. Once there, Ocean flips out, even with his father and Law trying to control him its no use, Law's mother has to knock him out with drugs. Liv awakens in her new room and meets her roommate, Dulce. Dulce is friendly, but its her quick wit and attitude that has Liv playing matchmaker in her mind. The two girls become fast friends. But when Liv has a setback, the guys come running, and Law meets Dulce. And instantly, knows what his cousin has been feeling since meeting Liv. But even in the center, and after the guys ran background checks on everyone, there is danger.

I loved Ocean Submerged This is book two in the Oceans Series. It is not a stand alone. you must read Oceans Collide first. Ocean Submerged started where Oceans Collide left off.

I fell in love with Law, Ocean, and Livie in Ocean Collide and was glad to get more of them in this story. It's told in all of their points of view. They are awesome characters and love that we get to get into their heads. I love that they have an instant connection to each other. Law and Livie have a brother sister relationship, while Livie and Ocean have a steamy relationship.

Ocean and Livie go through a lot in this book. Both are broken and this book I feel as though they work on putting the broken pieces back together.

There are new characters introduced in this book. Law gets a love interest in this book. She is perfect for him. I love how when Livie meets her she know that she will be perfect for Law.

Towards the end there are some really great moments. You think everything is going to be fine then M.A. DeOlmos throws in a twist with a minor cliffhanger. I can't wait to read more.

I think I enjoyed this book more than the first. I loved getting to know Ocean, Liv, and Law better. Seeing them support each other while going through some huge personal struggles shows just how close these three are. It wasn't easy though. Ocean has quickly become dependant on Liv. At times, he will do anything for her. But when she's gone, he falls apart. Falling back to old habits. That's when I just wanted to slap him silly. Some of his actions made me question whether he truly loves Liv or not. Luckily, he straightened up and got his act together for her.

Law finally gets to meet someone, Dulce. Of course, she makes him work for it. But that makes it even better. Those two seem to be well suited for each other.

AS much as I like these characters, their reactions are a little intense. They need to learn a little self control. I am hoping as they mature, they will settle down. We'll see.

There's another cliffhanger ending. I'll be reading the next one as soon as I can get my hands on it.

This was an amazing read I can honestly say I loved it from beginning to the very end. Yes this book deals with a touchy subject which Melissa acknowledge at the beginning of the book. This book will touch you in so many ways and will bring all kinds of emotions out from anger to the god awful ugly crying. This story will keep you on the edge of your seat till the end which unfortunately ends in a small cliffhanger (not as bad as the bombshell she dropped in Oceans Collide but it will leave you saying WTF and begging her to release the third book ASAP which we know is not possible). Im was very happy to see Law finally get a woman who keeps him on his toe. Again the sex scenes were so hot you need to fan to cool off. So looking forward to the third book and see where everything goes for Ocean,Livie,Law and his girl Blue. This book is worth more than 5 stars it is that good.

At the end of Oceans Collide, we're left with a cliffhanger (I LOVE CLIFFHANGERS) so I was so excited to start Oceans Submerged so I could find out what happened to the trio I came to love!

Law is by far my favorite character so I'm so incredibly happy with the things that happen to him in this book (that's all I'll say since I don't do spoilers).

The bond that Livie has with the Hawthorne cousins is more than just love - it's a way of breathing. They need one another like they need air.
When Livie puts herself in a position that keeps them from one another, Ocean and Law struggle to deal. Mainly Ocean, however, as he slips back into some old bad habits.

They've all been through so much, it's amazing that they've found one another and they're not letting go any time soon.

I cannot wait for the 3rd book - I'll be counting down the days until I can continue to see what's in store for them all!

I give this one 5 stars as well!

What a way to start book number two! From the prologue to the final word, I was gone! Ocean Submerged begins right where book one left off. Ocean is in a race against time to reach Liv before it is too late. I could relate to the struggles of Liv, Ocean and Law as each person took a turn telling their story. Law finally met a woman, who knocked him to his knees. Although there were many obstacles that the characters faced, they ALL fought for what they wanted - Love, Life, and Family! Each character needed to fight for a different reason, but in the end, it was really all the same - and the fight is worth every obstacle. Although the book ends with a smaller cliffhanger, Im still left waiting for more and anxious to see how the final chapters for these beloved characters will play out. Well Done!!

First let me say Miss DeOlmos had doing a major cry fest for a lot of this book! Wow! I mean goodness, from the beginning it's starts exactly where book two left off and for all of you who were completely gutted by the ending of book one, you know exactly what I mean. These characters have to fight with their demons alone, not because they have to, but because they need to. The friendships grow stronger, new characters are introduced, and love is motivator through it all. It doesn't get as steamy as the first book, but I really appreciated that, it brought more depth into real life situations, and honestly I didn't even feel like I was missing anything. I cannot wait to see where this story ends...,

I received this book as a gift and WOW, just WOW!!! This book, just like the 1st, had me in tears and laughter and smiles the whole time. And a book that makes you feel the way the character is feeling is amazing and this book did this from page 1. I love the way the story is told through the 3 main characters views which makes the book all that much enjoyable because you hear the story in their words. The new characters that have been introduced … all I can say is I hope there’s more of all of them in the next book. Another hit and I can’t wait for the next book. The only thing I dislike is that this is a trilogy and I only have one more book to visit them in. Oh… and can I have a nickname please

The way Oceans Collide left off with you know Livie going all ‘I cant take life anymore’ I was pumped to see what would happen, would she make it, would she not what if Ocean never forgave her, will she ever forgive herself? So many questions and while some were answered some where a nice Segway into the next book. Ocean looses himself in this book and while he is trying to deal with Liv and the aftermath of what she did he is also faced with old demons he thought long gone.More at www.bookbesties.com

~~~Zarah's ★★★★ Review~~~
I received this title courtesy of Sweet and Sassy Book-Aholics for an honest review Law, Ocean and Livie are back, picking up at the heartbreaking scene from the end of Oceans Collide and Ocean standing guard by Livie's bed willing her awake and Law barely coping himself but trying to hold it together for the three of them
Ocean copes with things the only way he knows how when Livie is sent to rehab and journeys back into the darkness, fighting his own addiction demon. I cant help but wonder if his heartfelt (if not a little cheesy in my opinion) promise of forever in front of family and friends is enough to help him fight the urge and not slip back into addiction.
The introduction of the beautiful 'Shakira' lookalike, Dulce, had Law's hormones racing and in typical Law style, being the 100% protective alpha male staking his claim. This girl has attitude and problems of her own and works hard to break down her barriers. The woman doesn't stand a chance.
As with the first book, there are a few editing errors (damper I/o dapper) but it is still delivered in the authors realistic language and a modern style of speaking you would expect from these characters. I was disappointed that M.A.Deolmos didn't delve further into the psych side of Liv's stay in rehab and her working through her cutting issues - is she okay with this now? this isn't really addressed so im not sure if it is something we are going to see again in further books.
While I didn't personally find this book as intense as Oceans Collide, we are left with another cliff-hanger which excites me. Not nearly as dramatic as the first book you just know that Ocean is going to be reeling and on top of what he is already fighting against - it sets up for the follow on quite nicely.
~~~Sharlene's ★★★★ Review~~~

Livie, Ocean and Law continue on their exploration of their relationships in this second book of the the Oceans Series. Once again, I enjoyed the characters but found them a little juvenile. We are introduced to another character in this book, Dulce, who is just as likeable at the other 3. Three POV's continue in this installment, however, Dulce's is not one of them. Secondary characters are well developed as well. I found myself wanting to know more about Marion's story (hint, hint MA Deolmos - lol)

Another cliffhanger at the end of this installment and as far as I know, the third installment has not been released yet. So you'll have to hang on to your hats to find out what happens.

There were a few twists and turns in this installment but none were completely developed IMO. Also, the rehab portion of the book needed more detail. We see into the physical part of rehab a little but nothing on the emotional part of it which I felt was a huge part of Livie's character. It would have been nice to see/hear more about that whole process.

Overall, I did enjoy the book and the series so far. However, it didn't hook me enough to want to pay for the next installment (even with the huge cliffhanger).

The heavy story of struggle and working toward healing and redemption continues. Ocean and Liv work through their issues, finding healing in each other's arms and making plans for a future together.

Meanwhile, Law finds his own "Juliet" and begins his own journey of love and emotional recovery. All four characters have deep emotional scars and while they are determined to reach out to each other, their individual pain, fear, and weaknesses hamper their progress.

Engrossing tale with realistic characters and challenges. Emphasis on details bring the confrontations and fights to life. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. Five Stars.

So I have just finished Oceans Submerged, I've been calling it Surrendered! Dont know where that came from!

So here's my review! Thank you so much for the honor of writing a review for reading this book!

Wowzers, I am loving Ocean, Liv, Law and now Dulce!

We start almost where we left off in Ocean's Collide, Ocean is distraught that he feels he is not enough for Livie to have done that to herself. I fear for Ocean.

We tick along nicely, with Ocean pulling himself further away mentally, he is headed for a downfall! :(

You sort of picked up on Law's maturing, independence, and dominance to control situation, in Ocean Collide, and he doesn't disappoint. He is a little scary with how well he investigates things, things he needs to know to get other stuff done!

Livie has been out of it, whilst she has been in hospital recovering, having now to deal with the severity of what she'd done.

During her recovery timer, we learn that she did indeed lose her dear old dad, the very thing that pushed her to hurt herself.

Law has a commanding aura about him, he has a very tough exterior, hides his feelings well, maybe a little too well. I loved how he acts and behaves around his Mom. We don't get a lot of Layla in this book, but she is still all consuming, all powerful and I would definitely want her in my corner.

We learn that Livie is going into a Rehab facility, physical therapy to get her well again, back to a usable normality!

Ocean is beside Livie the whole time she has been in hospital, holding on for her, before he lets himself dwell on the situation.

The Hawthorn boys, love hard and play hard, but they are fierce protectors.

On the day Livie goes into the Rehab centre, WOW! that was such an emotional time; in fact up to this point the whole story has been a huge emotional roller coaster. I even had to put the book down, and follow Law on his run! to clear my head!

We then meet the little Spitfire that is Dulce, she is one beautiful, headstrong, independent but very caring lady. You know she and Livie are going to be very good friends. I loved how Livie determined that Dulce and Law were to be friends!

Livie with Dulce's help managed to navigate her way through Rehab, bu Dulce is hiding something!

When Livie find the sleazeball porter in her room threatening Dulce, she takes control of the situation, we begin to see a tough Livie emerging. She get Dulce to open up but promises to keep mom!

We have the first visiting day, and the boys know almost straight away that something was not quite right! But with Livie mad as hell at Ocean, he turns up late with a sheepish look about him, and 2 huge marks on him! tut tut tut!

Law and Dulse begin to make friends, and the boys worked out what the girls were hiding, and get their own back on the creepy porter!

Life ticks among nicely, everyone is slowly healing, looking forward to being back together. Law and Dulce become closer she slowly lets her guard down around him.

Homecoming, the over the top boys have arranged a Limo to take Livie home, and also Dulce. Dulce's family turn up, and cause big problems, its turns nasty very quicklu but thankfully the boys handle it!

They are now home, getting re-acquainted when Ocean manages to show how he has been handling things, which Livie picks up on the tell tale signs he hans not been handling it very well!

Livie wants to help Ocean fight his demons, this roadbump seems to make them both fight harder for each other and with each other.

I loved how Ocean surprised Liv with all the gifts, the bracelet sounds fantastic.

We end the story with a brief meeting of Oceans Mom!

I cant wait for the third book to this series because I really want to know what happens next. I found this author she is know one of my favorites and if I could give this book more then five stars I would. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has read the first book.

First thought when I finished Oceans Collide "Phew! That was intense!". Thankfully I had Book 2 handy so I could go back and experience the roller coaster that was the Ocean Trilogy Universe all over again.

In Oceans Collide we get to meet the cast of characters that will take you on a hell of a journey. One that will not mellow out until the aptly named Hawthorne's Calm coming December 19th.

First there's Livie (Sunshine), a young woman struggling with some deep emotional scars that stemmed from her past. Right away the reader is thrust upon her situation, experiencing first-hand the kind of pain she struggles with on a daily basis. My heart went out to her immediately. I came to admire her strong will and her determination to make the most of her situation even when she resigned herself to being alone.

Then in comes Law, a sexy fighter that's making a life for himself in spite of his past. Law's a sweetheart with a heart of gold. A man who loves fiercely and protects those he loves, Law is the perfect mix of alpha male and caring man. He offers Livie a job and within hours of meeting her he vows to protect her from anyone, even from herself.

Law is the man that introduces Livie to the one who would be turning her world upside down--Ocean. You could see the sparks flying right from their very first meeting. Ocean is the very man Livie had vowed to stay away from, but the only one that has awaken the very thing she has tried to bury all these years--her emotions.

What comes along is a story packed full of funny moments, sexy moments and emotions, emotions, emotions.

I wouldn't know where to start summarizing the whole lot of events and I wouldn't want to anyway. I think this is a story that has to be experienced to be understood, so I won't even attempt to do it. I will say that the emotions are intense, some moments are darker than others and some are funny as hell.

M.A. DeOlmos didn't pull any punches when bringing Law, Ocean and Livie's story to the page. I liked that she took an unusual route when telling their story. These characters were deeply connected from the very moment they met. They were a family, one they made for themselves and I enjoyed having read their story as a unit rather than having the romance separate from them. Like I said, it's not something easily explainable nor understood. Not unless you experience the story for yourself.

All in all, a fantastic emotion driven read.

*I received a copy of these titles in exchange of my honest opinion.

4 Stars!

I was so relieved that I was able to start this book right after I finished Oceans Collide. I loved that it started out right where book 1 ended. It didn't recap the ending, it just picked right up where you were left, and I love when books do that.

In Oceans Collide you meet Law, Liv and Ocean. They are all continued characters, and we also get to meet Dulce in this story as a new character. Right from the start she fits right in and makes the perfect 4th person to the group.

In Oceans Submerged Law's, Liv's and Ocean's lives continue to go through twist and turns through out their relationships. At one point Ocean made me want to throw my kindle because of a situation he gets himself in, then he can't even remember what happened the next day. I couldn't believe that he was able to slip back to his old ways so fast. I really liked him, and that just took a little away from him in my opinion. I still love Law and I am happy that his life is coming together. That he is happy in his relationships. I love the relationship that Law, Live and Ocean continue to have. It even gets a little crazy towards the end of the story but I guess its because they are pretty comfortable with each other. There are also some pretty hot scenes as well if you like that type of thing! Which, I must say... I don't mind it one bit!

I loved the loving moments in the story, when Law or Ocean said what they felt. My favorite was...

"I want to fight for us. I want to fight to give you the things in life that you deserve the most. I want to be a good man for you. I want you to feel safe and loved by me at all times, even in my dick moments because there will be plenty of those. I want to be able to get down on one knee for you and when I do, I don't want there to be one single doubt in your mind that I'm not right for you."

This is a great continuation story in this Series. Once again I am left with wanting to dive right into book 3 but unfortunately I don't have it yet!!..UGH.... I guess I will have to wait, but I am looking forward to seeing how everything will fall into place. Once again the ending is pretty suspenseful with an OMG moment!!! A great job so far on this series from M.A. DeOlmoss!

I was so excited to jump right into this book after the big bang of ending in Oceans Collide. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this and it didn't disappoint but wait for because you get another crazy cliffhanger that lead you into book 3.

"When You Drown. I Drown... Rememeber?" Dam with 1st book ending your waiting for the next shoe to fall and it does. Not only does Livie wake up broken but we also wake up to a very broken and confligted Ocean.

" The fight in the woman I loved was torn out of her and annihilated. I could feel it."- Ocean

Ocean oh lord Ocean. I don't know if my heart broke more for Livie with loosing the last person in her life she loved, her father or her demons breaking her down to get her in the hosptail. But she damaged her body so much that she must go away to get help. But not only does this break Livie even more but it shatters what Ocean has left of the life his trying to rebuild.

After the leave Livie in the Rehab center she resigned to get her life back on track but Ocean in the same boat. He has a brave face but his demons that he once battle are back full force. He old love of Cocaine is back.

We meet a new friend that Law has tagged as BLue from first reading about her I knew she was the one for blue and so did Livie. Once Hawhtorne sets eyes on her he about busted a nut for the wmen. But just like the 3 of them she has her own scars and troubles brewing inside and outside of the rehab center.

"I've been waiting for Blue to shatter my soul only to sew it back together with her brand etched into it.

I love that we had the 4 POV, we also got two love stories and we saw a family growing from all these broken people. From al these broken people they have made a whole family. But with the girls out of rehab and trying to get back into a their new life. Livie comes back a still troubled Ocean. She going to fight for him, fight for him to come back to her with everything in her, fight they way Ocean did for her.

" Ocean, baby fight for us. I love you more than I need air to breathe. I'm back baby. Let me love you."- Livie

~I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review.~

The first book, Oceans Collide, ended with one MAJOR cliffhanger and Oceans Submerged picked up right where the first one ended. The pace from the first page was fast and never let up until I finished the last page.

The book opened with Law and Ocean trying to get to Liv after she has attempted suicide. Did they get there in time? Does she survive? The answer, of course, is yes, and Ocean and Law are there by her side through her whole stay at the hospital. But, this is the beginning of many challenges for Liv and Ocean. As she goes off to rehab for her physical injury and mental health, Ocean finds himself left behind. This brings up his old issues of abandonment. Will he be brave, or will he fall into his old, destructive habits to deal with his pain?
I found this book to be better than the first one. The characters’ personalities were explored at a deeper level. I got to see more of Ocean’s issues and how her suicide attempt really affected him. Part of the time I wanted to slap him, but like Liv, I couldn’t stay mad at him for long. He’s so in love with her, but he’s so INTENSE! Sometimes he can be a bit scary. I was happy to see Liv maturing and helping others, especially Dulce. She is a new character and love interest for Law. She seems to be carrying much more baggage than Liv, Law, and Ocean. It will be interesting to see how this relationship will play out between Law and Dulce and how her past will affect them. As with the first book, BIG SURPRISE at the end! So, of course, the author has me waiting on pins and needles for the last book in the series.

As an important endnote, DeOlmos deals with some heavy issues but in a very sensitive way. Suicide is such an important issue, and so many people choose this as their only way out. DeOlmos does a great job of showing that people in so much pain feel that this is their option of ending that pain. But, she also is very realistic in showing how that decision affects the loved ones who are left behind. Great book!!!!!
