Mackenzie Frazer has been in love with Tala Daciana for as long as he can remember. When he finally declares his love something strange occurs, causing her to disappear from his life. Mac is left with headaches and a strange tattoo from the outcome of that night, only he can't remember what happened. Four years later, she reappears in his life, and for two weeks makes all his dreams and hottest fantasies come true only to disappear again.
As good as the wild sex is, after five years of the exact same visits, Mac has had enough. He's determined the next time Tala knocks on his door he’ll get the answers to all his questions. Only he isn't sure he'll survive finding out.
I currently reside in Brisbane, Australia with my husband, two teenage children, two dogs and one cat. A chaotic menagerie for some, but a place of constant happiness and laughter for me.
I put pen to paper for the first time in 2012. After finishing my first book, I figured I'd better sign up for some creative writing courses since I'd evolved into a crazed writer. I love all things romance and feel the need to find a happy ending in anything life throws my way.
This is a great start to this series. I really can't wait to read more.
Tala and Mac met when they were 5 years old. He thought he was helping to save a little girl being bullied by an older boy. He had no idea what she really was, The alpha's daughter. He had no clue about wolf shifters, or that they even existed at the time.
Tala Daciana is the alpha's daughter, she's been promised to mate with another alpha's son, but she's always loved Mac. Who would have thought that at 5 years old, they would know that they belonged together.
This book takes you on an adventure, that starts when they were that young. Figuring out about mates and how to finish the mating ritual. Learning everything possible about wolf shifters. Running from enemies, finding out some enemies aren't actually your enemies at all.
"When the improbable becomes the possibly probable, it's time to bite the woman you're having sex with."
I'm interested in reading more about Sean and Xefren, and Mac and Tala also. This is a series I will continue to read.
"Alpha's Flame" is a supernatural romance worth reading. Turner's characters are strong minded, which is refreshing after the recent wave of 'do whatever you want with/to/for me' characters in other romances of this genre.
Tala and Mac Are a fearsome couple, not only because of the obvious chemistry between them, but also for their fierce loyalty towards each other and their lack of hesitance to break established roles.
What I love about the world Turner has created is the mix of tradition and originality in her supernatural world. Sure there are werewolves, shifters and vampires... But they're certainly not what you've come to expect.
This is a book to gulp down quickly, and then beg for more. While waiting for the next book in this series to come out, I strongly suggest reading her debut novel, "Cookies and Cream" another playful romp in the supernatural world.
The first book in the new Council of Wolves series is a riveting paranormal romance that stirs the emotions. The author has created a fantastic world full of intriguing characters and some unique elements that inspire curiosity as well as keeping things interesting. I was thoroughly caught up in the story from the very beginning, which starts off pretty intense and only gets better, to the very end, which ends on an intense moment and I can’t wait to read the next book.
