Colorado Christmas Survival was an exciting page turner from start to finish. Hope must go on the run and protect her small daughter from killers. While trying to get away, she runs into Ian, a veteran trying to seek a peaceful life. Ian can't let Hope continue alone, and between him and his FBI sister, they avoid the killers. While trying to figure out what they want.
I enjoyed reading this book. There were surprises and change going on in the hearts of the characters. This is the first book I’ve read by Cate Nolan. I enjoyed it so muck I’ll be reading another of her books.
i'm not usually an inspirational or romance reader but i had an opportunity to read this book and I would highly recommend it to folks who do read the genre! my only “complaint” is that I liked the heroine and hero too much for them to have to endure all the danger that made the book a thrilling ride. halfway through I just wanted them to catch a break so they could enjoy the christmas season! but luckily (i don't think this counts as a spoiler for LIS) there's an HEA in the works by the end. Hope & Ian have to survive a lot of wild situations in this book - but that's what makes it a story that lives up to the title! I really identified with both Hope & Ian as people who are used to being entirely self-reliant and the rock for the other people in their lives, so their journeys in learning to lean one another and trust each other & God to help really resonated for me.
Excellent short suspenseful story set in the winter in Colorado. suspense rampant. Not entirely accurate re: survival quips (like, really, you are going to starve if you haven't eaten anything substantial for 12 hours? and that neither the FBI agent or Nam vet knew cell phone GPS could track your whereabouts) but I forgave those as the suspense just pulled you in.
This was truly a well done fast paced story from the beginning to the end. The Colorado winter storm really sets the pace at the beginning and moves into family and friends helping to solve the case. It is full of likeable characters and a few heroes.
Poorly written, not worth the time and I would hardly call this a Colorado story. It has snow in mountains that’s the only thing that they relate it to. 🤦🏼♀️ I finally skimmed to through the ending just to get it over with. Definitely not my cup of tea.
