I really enjoyed this book. I always enjoy learning more about the British royal family and this book had little tidbits that I never expected to read. It made me laugh and more curious about the sort of things that happen in the household. It was an easy read which is always a plus for me and I enjoyed this so much. Might read the book about Prince Philip.
If you have ever wondered about the everyday lives and daily habits of Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royal family then you will enjoy “What’s in the Queen’s Handbag: and other Royal Secrets”. The book is full of brief stories of smallest details of the Royals from their driving habits, pets, eating preferences, and others. The authors made the royal family see quite normal, in that quirky way which we all have. I enjoyed this quick read.
Another book on life with the Royals....it reiterated some of the things mentioned in Eating Royally; however, I liked Eating Royally better. This book is more of a gossip-type book, and I had to order it thru Interlibrary Loan. I would have never guessed she carries a meathook, among other things!
I received this in a Secret Santa exchange, and the handbag, corgi, and speeding tales are the most entertaining. However, there's frequent mention of royal servants poor pay, why is that, you'd think the queen could afford to pay a decent wage? Anyway, it's a gossipy good read.
