About the author I'm the author of the novel Sparks. I have two cats, which are the sunshine of my life. I live in the sunny southwest. You can find me hiding from the sun with a cup of tea in one hand and a taco in another.
I received an ARC copy and am reviewing that as it is.
If you're looking for your next book obsession, look no further! I just finished reading this amazing story about a guy named Fateh, and let me tell you, it's a wild ride. The author has this cool way of mixing fantasy with a hint of futuristic vibes, making you feel like you're on an adventure from the get-go. Fateh and his friends are the kind of crew you wish you could join – they're all unique and bring something special to the table, which makes their journey through all sorts of challenges even more gripping.
What really hooked me was how the book keeps you on your toes. One minute you're deep in action, and the next, you're reflecting on some pretty deep stuff, all thanks to the ups and downs Fateh faces. It's the kind of book that's hard to put down because you're just itching to see what happens next. Plus, the world they're exploring? Absolutely fascinating. Whether you're a hardcore fantasy fan or just dipping your toes into the genre, this story has something for everyone. Trust me, give it a shot, and you'll be raving about Fateh and his squad just like I am now.
The world-building in this book made my heart happy! I love the interplay between the characters as Trisha takes us on a journey into our world if it were taken over by various fae creatures. I feel like both Tabor and Fateh are trying to figure out their way through this life, even though one is a fae-creature and the other is a young man. This is a commentary on how friendships can change when put under pressure - in this case, an invasion and the struggle to survive. I can't wait to read the next installment!
