In the final issue of 2023, Structure, Function, Integration (SFI) (volume 51, number 3) features ‘Structural The People, the Profession’. Structural integration is a manual therapy profession where the practitioners make manual and movement suggestions to support the human fascial system being balanced in the gravitational field, pioneered by Dr. Ida P. Rolf (1896-1979). This issue features articles by people with the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute®, Hellerwork® International, and the European Guild for Structural Integration. Our Fascia Insights column features an interview with Dr. Tina Wang, physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist. We warmly celebrate the life of Dr. Hans Flury (1945-2023), a Swiss Advanced Rolfer® who made many contributions to the structural integration profession. Check out our Perspectives a first-hand account of the challenges of ableism, designing somatics education courses with inclusive and antiracist perspectives, the complement of music study and structural integration study, and more. A special thank you to Greer Bailey, Editor-in-Chief of the Hellerwork International Newsletter, for her articles with Joseph Heller and Dr. Don St. John.
