Catch Me Twice is an electrifying, raw, and gripping read that completely pulled me into the chaotic world of the late 1980s rave scene. Catherine Skeet-Yaffe does a brilliant job of capturing the hedonism, danger, and intensity of a youth movement spiraling out of control.
What I loved most is how the story balances atmosphere with tension. The descriptions of the rave culture are vivid and immersive you can almost hear the pounding music and feel the heat of those endless nights. But underneath the surface fun is a darker, more sinister current: gangsters, undercover cops, and the devastating consequences of choices made in the moment.
The book hooked me early and never let go. The pace is relentless, the characters feel real, and the stakes keep climbing. It’s more than just a thriller, it’s a snapshot of an era, full of energy, danger, and the sense that one wrong move could change everything.
