شیوا مقانلو، ساکن تهران، کارشناس سینما (گرایش تدوین) و کارشناس ارشد رشته‌ی سینما (گرایش کارگردانی) از دانشکده‌ی سینما تئاتر، دانشگاه هنر، و دانشجوی انصرافی دکتری فلسفه هنر (دانشگاه آزاد تهران، واحد علوم و تحقیقات) است. او تا پایان سال ۱۴۰۱ چهل‌وشش عنوان کتاب چاپ‌شده در حوزه‌های ادبیات داستانی و علوم نظری سینما دارد.
Shiva Moghanloo has written more than 7 fiction books since 2003 on now. These works which have received critical acclaim concern mainly women’s problems, human issues, and emotional challenges repeated historically in all times for all mankind. Drawn much attention, some of her short stories have received national prizes, and many of them have been translated to other languages, like English, Arabic, Polish, Turkish, and Kurdish, and published in specific journals.
As a translator, Shiva has translated more than 40 literary works to Farsi which are among some vivid international fictions. It's noteworthy that an English ontology named "An Eastern Dream" contains eight stories chosen among all of hers, has been published by Candle & Fog publication, 2017. One of her short stories has been translated into Arabic, and published in an ontology of Iranian contemporary writers.
As a scriptwriter and researcher Shiva has done some cinematic projects for national TV. As a cultural counselor and executive director in national and international cultural projects, she runs many programs in Iran and a few other countries like Sweden and Spain. As a cultural visitor, she has attended in many international Book Fairs as Frankfurt, Beijing, Paris, Sulaymaniyah, and so. She has been a jury member in many national literature and film festivals and has held several workshops in different cities across Iran.
Writing columns and articles for specific journals and magazines is her other literary activities.
Since 2019, she has been working as the editor of international literature at Nimaj publishing house, which is one of the most prestigious Iranian publishers.

جزو معدود مجموعه داستان های ایرانی بود که شیوه نگارش و محتوای داستانش برام‌جالب بود.

اﯾﻦ ﮐﻪ ﮔﻔﺘﻢ ﮔﻢ ﺷﻮ ﺑﺮای ﻣﻦ تنها ﯾﮏ ﺷﻮﺧﯽ ﺑﻮد، ﮔﻔﺘﻢ ﮐﻪ ﺣﺮﻓﯽ زده ﺑﺎﺷﻢ. ﺑﻪ اﺗﻔﺎق واﻗﻌﯽ ﺗﻮی اﯾﻦ ﮔﻢ ﺷﺪن ﻓﮑﺮ ﻧﮑﺮده ﺑﻮدم. آن ﻗﺪر اﺻﺮار ﺑﻪ رﻓﺘﻦ ﺑﺎ ﺑﺎﻗﯽ ﻣﺮدم داﺷﺘﯽ ﮐﻪ از ﺣﺮﺻﻢ ﭼﯿﺰی ﭘﺮاﻧﺪم. ﮔﻢ ﺷﻮ ﺑﺮای ﻣﻦ ﺗﻨهﺎ دو ﺑﺎر ﺑﺎز و ﺑﺴﺘﻪ ﺷﺪن ﻟﺐ ھﺎ ﺑﻮد و ﺗﮑﺮار دو ﻣﺼﻮت ُا ﮐﻪ دو ﺛﺎﻧﯿﻪ ای ھﻢ روی ﻟﺐ ﺗﻤﺎم ﻣﯽ ﺷﺪ و ھﻢ ﺗﻮی ذھﻦ؛ در ردﯾﻒ ھﻤﺎن ﻏﺮوﻟﻨﺪھﺎﯾﯽ ﮐﻪ ﺑﻪ دﺧﺘﺮﺑﭽﻪ ھﺎی ﭼﻤﻮش ﺳﺮ ﮐﻼس ﻣﯽ ﮐﻨﻢ ﺗﺎ ﺑﺠﻨﺒﻨﺪ و ﺗﻨﺪﺗﺮ ﺑﻨﻮﯾﺴﻨﺪ. ﭼﻪ ﻣﯽ داﻧﺴﺘﻢ اﯾﻦ ﻗﺪر ﺑﯽ ظﺮﻓﯿﺘﯽ ﮐﻪ واﻗﻌﺎً ﮔﻢ ﻣﯽ ﺷﻮی، ﻣﯽ روی ﺗﻮی ﺧﯿﺎﺑﺎن و ﺳﺮت را ﺑﻪ ﭼﯿﺰی، ﺑﻪ ﺟﺎﯾﯽ، ﻣﯽ ﮐﻮﺑﺎﻧﯽ. ھﺮ ﭼﻪ ﺑﻮد، ﺗﺎزه ﺣﺎﻻ ﻣﻌﻨﺎﯾﺶ را ﻓهﻤﯿﺪه ام...!
