Nicholas Snipe should be dead. Danny Pearson killed him. But Snipe survived, spent years in a secret government facility, and has now gone rogue - leaving a trail of bodies across Europe and carrying a stolen nuclear weapon in a briefcase.
Before he was a killer, Snipe was Danny's comrade. They served together in Afghanistan and were selected for Project Jericho - a classified military experiment that enhanced their abilities but destroyed Snipe's mind. Now, with his memory returning in violent fragments, Snipe is hunting down everyone connected to the the scientists who experimented on him, the general who authorised it, and the man he blames for his brother's death - Danny Pearson.
With a compact nuclear bomb in his possession, an Iranian intelligence team racing to recover it, a government assassin known as The Hawk closing in, and Snipe carving a path of revenge through London, Danny is dragged back into a fight he never wanted. This time, the enemy knows how Danny thinks, how he fights, and where to find the people he loves.
From the battlefields of Afghanistan to the secret corridors of a military research facility, from a killing spree across Austria and Turkey to a devastating rooftop showdown in London - this is the most personal and explosive confrontation in the series. Danny must face an enemy who was made in the same programme that made him, and this time, he has to make sure Snipe stays dead.
Won't Stay Dead is the tenth instalment in the internationally bestselling Danny Pearson series. A savage, full-throttle thriller that reveals the darkest secrets of Danny's past and delivers the series' most terrifying villain yet.
Perfect for fans of Andy McNab, Chris Ryan, Mark Dawson, and Robert Ludlum.
Stephen Taylor spent over twenty years wiring up homes and businesses with audio visual kit before the big 50 started looming and he finally sat down to write the book he’d always had rattling around in his head.
That book was Execution of Faith — a supercharged, no-nonsense thriller that hit the ground running and never looked back. Readers loved it so much he wrote a prequel, Vodka Over London Ice, which became the first in what is now the internationally bestselling Danny Pearson series.
Raised on a diet of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher, Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rapp, and Tom Wood’s Victor — with a healthy side serving of Die Hard, Daniel Craig’s Bond, and anything Guy Ritchie ever pointed a camera at — Stephen writes the kind of thrillers he wants to read: hard, fast, no filler, and with enough humour to keep you grinning between the gunfights.
The Danny Pearson series has found fans across the world who love action that doesn’t let up and a hero who’s as handy with a one-liner as he is with his fists. If you like your thrillers with the throttle wide open, you’re in the right place.
Another fast paced and action packed Danny Pearson book.Keeps you glued to screen page's and wondering what could happen next to Danny.Great read bring on the next one.
A fast moving thriller that starts with Pearson and fellow specially selected soldiers being used for experimental test to turn them into super beings. Tests that caused some to take their lives and eventual closure of the experiment although one despite being injured was kept alive and used for specific missions. All worked well until this agent recovered his memory and sets out on a mission of vengeance on everyone involved with the experiments and his own hatred towards Pearson. A mission involving help from Iranians trying to recover their stolen compact Nuclear Weapon to kill Pearson ending on the roof of the building where the testing took place in a fight to the death.
Danny asked himself why me? Every time. He has just learnt, Snipe, who he killed about 2years before was not dead and although known to his so called bosses had been running Snipe as an asset after they nursed him back to health which took the doctors 18months, unknown to Danny. Now there is a problem, he has turned rough after recovering his memory and wants revenge, they are asking for Daniel’s help yet again to track him down, Daniel has told Simon, the new head of that particular department, who he dislikes, who replaced Howard that it is not his problem, also he is still recovering from injuries that were nearly fatal.
Phew, non stop action, hardly had time to put the kettle on for a cuppa. Another great read. I have never been disappointed with any of the Danny Pearson books. I look forward to the next book. A big thank you to the author Stephen Taylor and please keep up the good work - as usual five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Some of the best books I have had the pleasure of reading. So fast paced you have problems pausing for a break. I love the fact that Danny is able to continue the use of his physcological skills for the better of his life and others. Now for the last installment!
Strong plot if a little predictable. The past catching up with Danny introduced a new dimension to the saga, but this tale did suggest an inevitable conclusion. There were a couple of twists in the plot but it did move along in a formulaic manner.
Another fantastic story about Danny. The plot rapidly develops and is really gripping. Highly recommend a read. It might keep you riveted and sleepless until you get to the end.
Starting to get a bit repetitive and the stories and one liners seem ri have been taken from a lot of movies like Snatch and Die Hard etc. Needs more originality.
This book was totally out of my wheelhouse! Secret agents, murders, nuclear bombs - hardly what I typically read. However, I rather enjoyed it. I’ll be looking for another novel by this author.
