When Rosie’s brother Max shows up unexpectedly, it’s obvious to Tiffany that the charming Max is hiding secrets… will he reveal them in time, or get them in trouble too?
Meanwhile, Ian is back too, and indulging in his inner groomzilla, planning an over-the-top chapel wedding.
The murder of an Elvis impersonator puts wedding planning on hold when Tiffany and Rosie are asked to investigate, and Ian insists on helping out.
Who would’ve wanted (fake) Elvis to leave the building? Tiffany’s investigation flushes out a host of secrets and enemies, but who could’ve hated him enough to kill, and will they strike again?
I don't know how many of these Tiffany Black stories I've read now. More than forty I think. I enjoy them so much. Some compare them to Evanovich ( also read all of them), in my opinion the Las Vegas stories are much better. I truly wish these stories would be made into a TV series. I try to pick current actors to play the parts in my head but it's difficult. I can't picture Rosie as a blonde and I think of Tiffany as a mixed race for some reason. Also I think Mr Locandro should turn out to be Rosie's secret father or rich uncle that's secretly watching out for her. Remember when she made that painting for him? Why?
Tiffany and Rosie investigate the death of Preston Alvis, an Elvis impersonator, and the Elvis quotes make this story a lot of fun. The investigation is "helped" (?????) by Tiffany's former assistant Ian who also causes trouble for Rosie who is having family trouble to contend with. Lots of mayhem, Nanna interference and life commentary from the ever delightful Angel.
This was a very first of A.R. Winters' books I started reading,I fell in love with the first one. I have now read all of them, every time a new one comes out.,I’m ready to read. I would recommend this book ( all of her books ) to absolutely anyone. They are wonderful, so funny and keep you guessing all the time !
Much, much better than the last one! The one had not one but two, or more mysteries and the return of the pain. His return was funny and as much as I disliked him, I enjoyed the stuff between him and Rosie. I hope he leaves again after a few books though, one can only take so much of his type! Marry Sally and go away!
This was a fast paced book with interesting characters along with all of our favorites. Tiffany always gets her man, or woman, and provides a great story. These books can be read out of order but I started with the first Tiffany mystery series and I'm now reading the other two series in order. I have enjoyed every book!
I really enjoy reading this series about Tiffany's PI adventures. I've enjoyed reading about the characters growth, and the relationship growth between the characters. In this book I wasn't too excited about the return of Ian, Tiffany's ' retired' partner. Rosie is a much better fit, just my POV. I look forward to the next adventure of Tiffany and Rosie.
Rosie's brother Max shows up and wants to stay with Rosie but Ian shows up and wants his apartment back so Rosie is homeless. While at a practice wedding and cake testing for Ian and Sally when the Elvis impersonator is found dead. His AA group hires Tiffany to solve the case and it leads to many wayward leads. Great reading with intricate personal relations.
Another great book by A R Winters. I love the Tiffany Black series. Trying to follow along and figure out what happen can become quite fascinating! I cannot wait to follow more cases and watch where Tiffany & Stone end up.
I love that she has a quirky cast of characters around her and that she always finds herself in the middle of situations. I keep reading to find where the next adventure takes her.
