'60s spy nonsense involving an experimental laser and a bunch of naked chicks.
Sean O'Shea was one of several pseudonyms used by remarkably prolific writer Robert Tralins. There were six Valentine Flynn novels in all. He also wrote three "The Miss From S.I.S." spy novels and also wrote science fiction, nonfiction, and blaxploitation fiction.
Decent. I collect and love '60s spy fiction, though most of it is poorly-written. While sexual, it's not as explicit as you'd expect because there was a time when some things were left to the imagination. It's still softcore at its most extreme moments. Like many '60s spy stories, it relies heavily on gadgets that seemed incredibly sophisticated at the time but are in common use today. Despite their goofiness, these stories have a naivete and charm that you don't get in a lot of recent espionage yarns.
There are six books in this series and I intend to track them all down, though some are fairly expensive. It was an easy read, though, and not hard at all to get through nearly half a century after it was published.
