About the author

I live in a small hamlet called Gros Cap just west of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada on the magnificent shore of Lake Superior. I've always been a voracious reader, even as a child, and that has inspired me to create my own fantasy worlds. There's nothing quite like seeing your imagination transformed into a published novel. When I'm not writing, I'm reading, doing challenging jigsaw puzzles, or enjoying the great outdoors with my hubby, my furry child and my camera.

I love this book..... It has funny parts in it where you love and strange enough you relate to the main character - Flint who is a dog..... I think that is how dogs think and i can't help myself while reading this book looking at my own puppy and thinking what going on in your little head.

The characters is well written and the book as a good story line. I love Flint's best bud Georgie and the traumatic experience of the Vet.

I would recommend this book to anyone who want to read a not so tense detective novel with a light side to it. Also would recommend it to young teens would love animals this is a perfect book for them.....

The Mattress Affair was one of the most delightful books I have read in awhile, narrated throughout by a black Labrador named Flint, who has decided that he’s so good at finding things that he ought to be a detective. His mistress, Meredith Steele, is his unwitting partner.

Flint’s “voice” stays consistent throughout the short novel, and is just what a happy Lab would sound like if one thought out loud. He leaves “pee-mail” for his buddy who lives down the road, lets the bag guy know who isn’t liked with a growl or two, and manages to lead Meredith to clues. The mystery isn’t too involved—the joy here is Flint’s storytelling. A very clever story and one for virtually all ages.
