Macabre and joy co-existing in the rooms of your body, that is way too small to handle any of it. This rather small collection of poetry explores the nuances and complexities of living as a human being during Anthropocene. Falling in love, out of love, having your guts possessed with corruptive anger, desire for the forbidden, ugliness and grace; every possible human experience, during contemporary time. The endings evolving into something physically eerie, yet sometimes falling into a much softer ground unexpectedly. The heavy burden of consciousness, ethical complexity, guilt-ridden religiosity. And eventually, a joyful, radical acceptance to everything that we are made of.
This touched places in me that I didn't even know existed. Loss, betrayal, craving something, regretting something, dreams, inner labyrinths, epiphanies, reminiscence of long-lost battles, defying authority, and many, many more moments of the human condition... R.I.P. Sylvia Plath, you would've loved these poems.
