contains just enough scientific trivia to fool readers into believing that the writer knows something about science, then rapidly devolves into unchallenged superstition and witless conjecture. the authors describe a rigourous methodology for investigations, and give a long detailed list of equipment, but appear to know nothing about legitimate research, or the collection and analysis of complex data.

the world is full of fascinating weirdness that deserves legitimate investigation; but as long as the investigators are presumptuous fools, scientifically and logically illiterate, no one will ever take it seriously, and we will never learn anything.
