I love this series. Lots of suspense and a great love story.
Drawn to Death
This is my first time reading this author and oh my gosh it was amazing. This story is exactly the kind of book I love romance, suspense, a evil killer and a woman who sees dead people.

“Have you ever been alone and sensed someone watching you? Have you heard someone whisper your name, only to turn around and find no one there
What if I told you we’re never alone?

Evelyn had a near death experience and it changed her life. Now when she sleeps she sees the dead. She draws images that are creepy and fascinating.

Leo is a detective married to his job. When she calls him with evidence of a murder he considers her a suspect. He doesn’t believe in that ghost mambo jumbo.

This was a exciting and suspenseful story. I have definitely found a new author and series to put on my auto read list.
Drawn to the Mafia
Lady in the Lake?”

Well the first book in this series was definitely not a fluke because this one was even better.

"Fantasma!"

Ghost , danger , a huge mystery and an enduring love story.

Leo is finally a believer. His logical detective mind doesn’t understand her gift but he knows it’s the truth. After a chance meeting in the cemetery she has with one of his childhood friends triggers her psychic gift that has been dormant he’s not a happy camper.

She had willingly put her life on the line to stop a serial killer, but that didn’t make her a sworn officer of the law.

Evelyn on the other had has a compulsion to help the dead. Was it a chance meeting or a calculated attempt to exploit her powers.

I was the ghost girl. Evelyn Sinclair, the edgy artist of Halsted. The spooky lady who communicated with the dead through her art.

As they visited his friends haunted lake house crazy things start happening. Just when you think you know the ending your in for a shocking surprise.
Drawn to the Past
If you lost your memory what would happen. Leo and Evelyn have already been through so much together. Her gifts have helped them solve cases and come closer together. Now everything is falling apart.

From what I’d learned about Evelyn, her gift was her identity. The cool and edgy artist of Halsted, who painted haunted places and ghostly beings, earned her a reputation as one badass ghost girl.

I can’t say enough good things about his series. If your a ghost mystery fan this is a must read. It’s fast paced and you will not be able to put it down it’s that good. Even though I wanted to smack Leo I still love every moment I get to spend with this pair.

“Last night. I told you I loved you. I meant it, Evelyn. I can see now what everyone has been trying to tell me all along—you are an amazing woman. I can’t imagine living a single day without you.”

A fantastic romantic suspense boxset with undertones of the paranormal where, after a near death experience, the heroine, artist Evelyn Sinclair’s work is inspired by her new disturbing talent of seeing spirits. This ability suddenly escalates and becomes more intense when she begins to not only see but communicate with the ghosts of the recently murdered starting with her friend, which doesn’t do much for Evelyn’s love life as her prospective interest is none other than Leo Ricci, the homicide detective in charge of the investigation, a man who doesn’t believe in any kind of psychic abilities and thinks Evelyn knows more about the murder than she’s letting on

Drawn to Death

Drawn to Death was a gripping story as Evelyn is visited by the spirit of her friend Sydney who wants her to solve her murder. Did I guess who the murderer was? Yes, but not too early in the book and the build up of overall story telling kept me gripped throughout. I loved the Evelyn and Leo together. Their chemistry was palpable and steamy from the start despite their differing attitudes. Leo’s scepticism when it comes to anything he can’t see or explain while Evelyn is unapologetically open about her abilities and her desire to help no matter what the cost to her own safety bringing them into conflict with each other on several occasions. Once they got past their differences, they made quite the team. This is supposed to be the first book in a new series featuring Leo and Evelyn and I can’t see how that’ll work out, but I can’t wait to find out.

Drawn to the Mafia

If you thought Drawn to Death, the first book in this series was good then sit back and prepare to be amazed with Drawn to the Mafia, the latest paranormal romantic suspense from Kat Shehata where the dead demand justice using artist Evelyn Sinclair and her disturbing ability to communicate with spirits as a conduit with the assistance of her lover, Detective Leo Ricci. When a seemingly chance encounter in a cemetery triggers a ghostly visitation for Evelyn this soon leads to a new case for this her and Leo but not everything should be taken at face value. In a gripping story full of danger and suspense and laden with twists and turns and mafia involvement, this book kept me on edge throughout set against an atmospheric setting of a remote haunted lake house complete with a lady in the lake mystery before reaching a dramatic conclusion.

Drawn to the Past

Evelyn’s world is about to be rocked when Leo is hurt while checking out a lead and his injury results in him losing all memory of Evelyn and their life together and bringing the sceptical Leo from the first book back. With a fantastic plot involving a missing/presumed dead college student, disappearing suspects and a ‘did not see that coming’ twist balanced against the emotional aspects of Evelyn and Leo’s disintegrating relationship as he struggles to come to terms with Evelyn’s psychic abilities – trust me, you’re going to want to smack Leo at least a couple of times for his behaviour towards Evelyn which is downright cruel at times – Drawn to the Past gripped me from the start. Throw in a haunted house filled with eerie Victorian dolls to hype up the spooky factor and this just might be my favourite book in the series to date

I was a bit worried about how series would pan out once Leo had got over his initial scepticism about Evelyn’s psychic talents. I felt it might’ve got a bit gimmicky and samey but I shouldn’t have worried. Leo’s acceptance just makes their partnership stronger. Their chemistry has always been steamy from the first time they met but now there is a new dimension to their relationship, and after the ending of the last book, I’m intrigued about what the future holds for Evelyn and Leo and can’t wait to find out.

•Book 1-Drawn To Death:
This is the first installment of this series and I am HOOKED! I was literally on the edge of my seat, jumping up and down and making all the shocked noises possible. The mystery, the suspense, the romance…all a big ol’ chef’s kiss!!!

I listened to the audiobook on Scribd while reading along to the e-book on Kindle. Both narrators did a phenomenal job at bringing this story to life and making me feel like I was right there in the thick of it all.

From the beginning I was intrigued. Had life not gotten in the way, I would’ve finished this sooner. When I wasn’t reading this book, I was thinking about it and itching to get back. I loved the mystery, the details of what was happening and they were feeling. I loved the way the story unraveled and the answers were revealed.

I am so excited to start reading the next book to see what adventures await. I am hoping that there will be an audiobook for the rest of the series, because I will be reading them next but would love to revisit them through an audiobook!

•Book 2-Drawn To The Mafia:
Oh my gosh! If I could give this more than 5 stars I most definitely would! I loved book one and this one was no different! Another big ol’ chefs kiss to Kat Shehata for bringing the mystery, suspense, chills, goosebumps and a splash of romance with this story!

I definitely loved that this one was a tad more “creepy” than the last book in the paranormal aspect. I was definitely here for it! The twists and turns of unraveling the mystery had me “eeeppp”ing and on the edge of my seat the whole time! I loved the character development between Leo and Evelyn. I also loved Parker and Officer Santoni as supporting characters.

I was happy that Kat Shehata included an epilogue for this book. I was very happy to that little tidbit. I am loving this series and is highly recommended.

•Book 3-Drawn To The Past:
I have stated in my previous two reviews this same thing I’m about to say, but I can’t help it! Each book just keeps getting better and better! Oh my gosh! If I could give this more than 5 stars I most definitely would! I loved book one and two, and this one was no different! Another big ol’ chefs kiss to Kat Shehata for bringing the mystery, suspense, chills, goosebumps and a splash of romance with this story!

I loved the amnesia that was thrown is to build the drama, suspense and mystery. I loved seeing Leo and Evelyn have a chance to fall in love all over again! Though there were times I wanted to jump in the book and try to knock Leo’s memory back. Although, watching him fall for Evelyn again was great since I wanted more of his thoughts on her gift the first time around.

This book was creepier than the last and I was here for it from start to finish! I was on the edge of my seat, “eeeppp”ing and actually having to remind myself to close my mouth after dropping it from shock multiple times!

I’m really hoping that there will be more books in this series because I honestly need more!! I’m also hoping that book two and this book get their own audios! I would love to listen to each book and get even more transported and immersed in these stories!

This is probably the most interesting boxset I've read in a LONG time.

Kat Shehata has an incredible way of story-telling, keeping you engaged in her stories as she brings you through thrill after thrill, twist after twist, and has you on the edge of your seat every single time. I love that she tells her novels through different perspectives, allowing great character development and showing growth as the stories continue. I wasn't a huge fan of paranormal romance, but Kat has made me a fan! I can't wait to read more of her work soon.

Now onto the boxset:

We follow a girl named Evelyn who has psychic abilities and has a way of ghosts channeling her to tell her about their murders (to solve them). Leo is a homicide detective and thinks she's absolutely insane (because talking to ghosts is normal right?) but over time believes her. They work together through different cases and eventually, the sexual tension is so HIGH, that they develop a relationship. Evelyn has her gift become her sole purpose in life and has put herself in the line of danger multiple times, but she keeps pushing through to not only solve these murders but help the ghosts get closure. Through each story, you can really see how Evelyn evolves as her own person, and how Leo is still trying to come to terms with her gift, but has the constant need to want to protect her. They only continue to show that they make an incredible team together when it comes to solving crime. So many twists, GREAT plots, and just beautiful story-telling.

If you love a good paranormal romantic mystery that's twisty, and has great plots and storylines with substance, this is the series for you! I devoured it in 3 days! Well worth the read! Kat is a writing GENIUS.

Drawn to Death:
I haven't read this author in far too long (long before I learnt the importance of reviews). I won't be making that mistake again in a hurry.
It's been a while since I've read a supernatural tinged book, and for me it was just the right amount without being in your face.
I found myself glued from cover to cover despite wanting to shake the (real-life) characters a few times.
Can't wait to see what happens with this couple next.
This is suspense with a difference and not something you'll want to miss.

Drawn to the Mafia:
What another spine tingling addition to this thrilling series.
I was captivated from cover to cover and didn't want it to end, especially with the way it ended. I need more!
It was very cleverly done, so much so that I couldn't not add it to my top reads list.
And I can't even tell you why I loved it, because talking about either the characters or plot will give away major spoilers.
So I'll just leave you with....one click immediately, you won't regret it.
I cannot wait to see what the author comes up with for the series as she set the bar high with this one.

Drawn to the Past:
This was another fantastic addition to this spine tingling must read series.
Not only does the author keep you guessing with the mystery to solve, but the relationship of our favourite couple is plunged into jeopardy.
Can they overcome everything thrown their way, or will they fall at their first major hurdle?
As usual no answers come easy and you'll be captivated from cover to cover.

Fantastic series! Sort of Criminal Minds meets the Medium. Two shows I loved! It was hard for me to put either of these books down wanting to know what was going to happen next. Loved the characters and the plot twist. Each book just gets better. A must read for any thriller/mystery lover with a side of romance.

This boxset is a mix of supernatural, crime, danger, and suspense.

This crime fighting couple show with each story how they’re perfectly matched. So many twists and turns in these stories. So exciting to read.

Good psychic stories

This trilogy was filled with hard to solve murder mysteries and ethereal clues from the psychic’s connections to the other side. The clues are all in the form of imagery that has to be deciphered as well. Pretty cool
