This book can be called a missing link for everyone on the self-development path. The author, in a brilliant, simple and unique way connects all the areas of life, such as everyday living, spirituality, psychology and human behavior that became disconnected from each other, by the mind. She shows that everything is a part of the same whole, and nothing is inherently bad or unneeded. Only the lack of understanding makes it so. The structures of consciousness described here explain clearly why the human mind still lives in the darkness of confusion and inability to take responsibility for the gift of life, and why it is passed from generation to generation. In the evolution of consciousness, humanity is now in the process of developing the Inner Adult, an inner structure that will take humanity to the next dimension of existence in harmony with the deeper Self, each other, nature and life; where lack, fear, fighting and aggression are obsolete. In order to achieve this Inner Adult level of processing life, human consciousness needs to develop, strengthen or repair the Inner Parent structure. Without it there is no evolution of self-awareness and we stay stuck on the level of an impulsive animal whose main life purpose is to avoid death. The human self-aware mind is destined for much more and we are each individually responsible for this process. The human self-aware mind is destined for much more and we are each individually responsible for this process.
Katarzyna Dodd is a European-licensed psychologist, therapist, and author with decades of experience in emotional healing and personal transformation. She is the creator of the Inner Parent Theory—a groundbreaking framework that introduces the missing piece in the widely known Inner Child narrative. Her approach reframes healing as the development of the Inner Parent: a conscious, guiding structure that supports clarity, emotional safety, and deep integration.
Katarzyna also developed the Inherence® Process, a transformative method born from years of work in expanded states of awareness. It helps individuals reconnect with their deep Self and embody greater resilience, presence, and coherence. In 2006, she introduced Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) to Poland, significantly influencing its integration into therapeutic practice.
Born and raised in Kraków, Poland, Katarzyna lived in the United States for over two decades before relocating to the Indian Ocean coast of Africa, where she continues to write, teach, and explore the inner architecture of human transformation.
Her first book, You Are the Dream of the Universe, guides readers through the emotional dynamics between the Inner Parent and Inner Child.
Her second book, The Chameleon’s Game, explores the hidden architecture of relationships with covert narcissists, exposing the emotional cycles that undermine self-trust and create confusion. It’s both a revelation and a roadmap to reclaiming personal power.
“You Are the Dream of the Universe" is a must-have book for those seriously committed and seeking inner unity, peace, and harmonious contact with themselves and the world around them. The theoretical content introduces the issue by explaining the causes of experienced problems, the practical tips guide the reader through the process of gradually deepening insight to broaden self-awareness, and the exercises contained in the book help to release blocked emotions. The book is an valuable help in the process of "emotional growing up". Everyone will benefit from it, regardless of the "advancement level" and seniority in their own work. Its great advantage is the fact that, going through the next stages of the development of consciousness, the book still reveals to us previously overlooked important issues that turn out to be important at the current stage of the road. As a practicing psychotherapist for several years, I highly recommend this book for its substantive and practical value. The information contained in it greatly enriched my therapeutic workshop with an effective tool for change and personal development.
This beautifully written book takes readers on an emotional journey that leads to profound self-discovery and healing. In this work, the author masterfully weaves spiritual wisdom to illustrate the importance of acknowledging and nurturing the inner child. The book offers a compelling argument that our adult selves are profoundly influenced by the experiences and emotions we encountered during our formative years. By addressing the unmet needs and unresolved traumas we pave the way for a more fulfilling and authentic life. One of the book's greatest strengths lies in its ability to resonate with readers from all walks of life. Whether you have a deep understanding of psychology or are new to the concept of the inner child, the author's accessible writing style ensures that the material remains engaging and relatable throughout. The narrative is both compassionate and non-judgmental, making it a safe space for readers to explore their own inner landscapes. This book is highly recommended for anyone seeking to reconnect with their authentic selves and rediscover the magic that lies within.
On my journey towards a life filled with ease, clarity, and joy, I have read countless books by various philosophers and spiritual teachers. While these readings often provided me with more questions, which deepened my practice, I felt the absence of a perspective that was both spiritual and practical without being overly sentimental.
I am very grateful for this book. Aha moments appeared on nearly every page. I love the author's enthusiasm and their unwavering desire for humanity to awaken to the truth that aligning the Inner Parent with the Inner Child is the only way to end all suffering.
This book is a real insight into the evolution of consciousness, which really make us look at developing the Inner Adult that is omitted in many other self-development sources, books etc. The book explains the inner structure that brings harmony and the understanding of the deeper Self. I've never encountered this Inner Adult level of processing life and human consciousness and together with the video exercises online it really helps to notice what's broken and helps to repair the inner parent structure. I keep coming back to this book and every time it reveals to me something new.
I read the book, and many things I anticipated regarding the Inner Child existence became much clearer. I really appreciate the concept of connection between the Inner Child and the Inner Parent and the Inner Adult as a just emerging structure of consciousness. For me, the book is an eye-opening journey leading to deeper understanding of what is happening within ourselves when we lose integration with our Inner Child. Definitely worth reading!
Being a Naturopathic Doctor with special interest in psycho-emotional and vibrational healing, I read the book as effortlessly as I breathe, such was the resonance with my own understanding of the process of inner exploration and deep transmutation. This book is a true gem, a real gift to Humanity, a must read for any seeker of their true origin and identity....
