Dear Reader: I’m USA TODAY bestselling contemporary romance author Mika Lane, and am all about bringing you sexy, sassy stories with imperfect heroines and the bad-a*s dudes they bring to their knees. And I have a special love for romance with multiple guys because why should we have to settle for just one hunky man?

Writing has been a passion of mine since, well, forever (my first book was The Day I Ate the Milkyway, a true fourth-grade masterpiece). These days, steamy romance, both dark and funny, gives purpose to my days and nights as I create worlds and characters who defy the imagination. I live in magical Northern California with my own handsome alpha dude, sometimes known as Mr. Mika Lane, and two devilish cats named Chuck and Murray. These three males also defy my imagination from time to time.
A lover of shiny things, I've been known to try new recipes on unsuspecting friends, find hiding places so I can read undisturbed, and spend my last dollar on a plane ticket somewhere.
I'll always promise you a hot, sexy romp and some version of a modern-day happily ever after.
This was a refreshing take on a romance story. Normally one of the couple will make the mistake that needs to be atoned for. But this story has both of them making the mistakes and both are pretty huge. Some would find either or both unforgivable, and would walk away and stay away from the relationship. But these two are in love and realize that they might just have found the perfect person for them - warts and all. I also loved the support characters from the SF Freekly magazine as they lent their own bit of humor to the story - especially with the randomly weird writing assignments. Plus we got to see lots of Petal and Rake from book 1 in this book too. I was hoping that Jonas might get a second chance at love next, but it looks like the rookie and Ruby will be up next. Can't wait for their story - I'm betting (wink wink) that it will be a great story.

Cocky hockey player Belligerent feminist journalist Fake dating
Ok. so the premise on this one is that Tyler, the cocky hockey player has to date aa girl for 90 days. And, if he can get her to date him that long, he has to BREAK UP with her at the 90 day mark.
I'll sum up this terrible idea with this passage:
"So, either way I lose, is that what you're saying. If I don't date the woman 90 days, I lose the bet. If I do date her 90 days, I have to break it off, and while I will have won the bet, I will have been the world's biggest dick."
Yep, Ty. That's right.
Now Lucy, the girl in question is no saint. She's going behind Ty's back to write a book about "dating the player" sort of an expose on the cocky, arrogant assholes of the world and why you should see all the red flags hiding beneath the hot bubble-butts of hot athletes everywhere.
In other words, the premise is terrible and demeaning and the fact that both of these people go for it is just to irredeemable for me to want to read it. Which is sad, because I really like the Aftershocks as a team.
This book locks you in from the start!! It’s hilarious and spicy at the same time! Lucy is a writer who has taken it upon herself to go in undercover to write an article on how to avoid playboy guys , Tyler is a super hot cocky hockey pro who has sworn he can make anyone fall for him in 90 days… what starts out as an undercover back and forth to prove one thing or another ends up blurring all the lines each are trying to set quickly and Tyler and Lucy both start to realize they may be headed off the original track ! Can they get their happy ending ? This story is a MUST read!!! ❤️.

60 procent. Mwa.
I loved this book! Mika once again delivers a fantastic story filled with all things wonderful. The story of Lucy and Tyler begins with a story and a bet and ends up being quite the roller coaster ride! There will be ups and downs as they navigate their fake relationship for the sake of a bet on his part and a book on hers. Feelings develop along the way and soon things don’t feel quite so fake. The truth will come out (as it always does) and it will send them into a bit of a tailspin that will land Lucy in Paris. Tyler will come to his senses and realize just how much Lucy means to him and he will follow her halfway around the world to prove it.
This book follows the relationship of Lucy and Tyler. Lucy, a writer determined to write an article on avoiding playboys. Tyler, the playboy hockey player who is dared by his friends/teammates that he couldn't date a woman for 90 days. It was fun to watch them navigate through their relationship and have to work to get their HEA. Loved all the characters, the descriptions of San Francisco and the friendships for her with her girlfriends and him with his teammates. Such a fun and yet a little angsty read! Mika once again delivers a fantastic story filled with all things wonderful.
Lucy stuck in a dead end writer job she loves with a solid group of girlfriends decides to write a book on sporting and reforming a player.
Tyler a playboy who can't commit makes a bet with his teammates that he can fall for and remain with someone for 90 days.
When Tyler asks Lucy on a date both there challenges begin. What was supposed to be research and trying to win a bet, slowly turns into the best time of there lives.
Tyler is so good to Lucy and they both fall so hard. It was a steamy, quirky and fun read.
If you loved How to Lose a Guy in 10 days, you’ll love From Fling to Ring. Lucy, charged with writing a book on hockey play boy, Tyler, ends up finding herself in love with the not so playboy hockey player.
Tyler’s friends bet him he can’t date a girl longer than 90 days. But then he meets Lucy.
Yes. There’s a third act breakup but with both parties making the mistake, you’ll love finding this HEA.
Following the relationship of Lucy and Tyler. Lucy, a writer determined to write an article on avoiding playboys. Tyler, the playboy hockey player who is dared by his friends/teammates that he couldn't date a woman for 90 days. Through their ups and downs as each tries to prove their own causes, unknown to each other, this story takes you on an amazing, fun, and funny adventure as they both find out that their ending may not be what they were expecting!
I like Tyler. He sets out on a tricky, rocky road but grows up along the way. He is sweet and caring and fun. It is a little irritating when he shuts Lucy down but I do understand. Lucy sets out to prove a point and advance her career but she falls fast. I like the friends and family. The team works well as a backdrop to this story.

Well written, witty, laugh out loud, entertaining read about a hockey player and a writer. Both pull big mistakes about their dating. Hurt feelings galore, misunderstandings from start to finish highlight the wittiness of the pair and their friends.

Mika has written another incredible story. We have the smart, sassy reporter and the playboy hockey player. They each have an agenda of their own but it could lead to struggles for them both. Loved all the characters, the descriptions of San Francisco and the friendships for her with her girlfriends and him with his teammates.
I thought Lucy and Tyler’s story was a cute one. I loved how Lucy was always so snarky, and that Tyler could give it right back. The sex scenes are always great, in fact the best I’ve read in a very long time. It gets old when women write scenes where it only about the guy giving it to the girl. It’s a good quick read, and the next book is even better.
The FMC was awful. Like I appreciate they both had downfalls however we at least had insight that he had planned on talking to her prior to him finding out her secret. While she continues to still try to paint him as a bad guy and despite the evidence to contrary. I’m also annoyed he had to do the grovel when really she should.
Such a fun and yet a little angsty read! The characters were fun and somewhat deeper in ways the you expect initially! Some characters you meet are a hoot or totally ridiculous!
I had a good time with this story and am enjoying this interconnected friend group a lot!
This was a fun easy read. I liked the characters a lot. Lucy was so fun you truly just want to be her friend. Tyler quickly become so lovable you just want to squeeze him.
From Fling to Ring by M. Lane You can’t miss this very exciting story that will capture your heart and make you feel all the goodies! Every book in this new series will make you fall in love with this authors work. Very recommend.
This was such a cute story. Made me laugh and giggle, but boy did the characters mess up several times. It was fun to watch them navigate through their relationship and have to work to get their HEA.
I really enjoyed this book, the characters are well thought out and characters from past books still make an appearance. Look Forward to the next book.
