While reading this book my Wesley was saying "I wish we had that many babies." The love that the people in this book have for babies and the high value they place upon them is obvious. In a society that seems to see babies and children as a burden, it is refreshing to have a book that shows picture after picture of happy and contented people with many babies.

I love the counting you can do in this book - both of the babies and the different animals. And I love the subtracting you can do with the babies.

**Talking points - Where are you happiest? Is it with family? In what ways do you think babies would bring happiness? Are babies sometimes hard to take care of? Is anything thing that is worth while, easy? Does each member of your family bring different gifts to it? What might gifts might a new baby bring? What gifts would you want a new member of the family to bring? What are your gifts that you contribute to the family? How would live be different if certain great people in history had never been born or cared for in a loving manner?

This may give kids a strange view of adoption, but it's cute. It's based on a folk song, the verse bounces along, and the pictures are lively.
