This book is about a girl prunella who’s perfect in almost everything in her life but she does have some fears which she’s facing also moving to another country is a bit challenging for her. Will she be able to get over her fears or what?

The writer composes such charming, fantastic stories for youngsters. I wish I had these sort of books in my life as a youngster that discussions about some major issues and changes we go through while growing up. In this book, Prunella is unnerved by losing her teeth
yet more than that she was scared of the rat that would come taking it. The creator urges children to acknowledge their apprehensions, be sufficiently able to confront them and not let the change startle you by any stretch of the imagination!
I adored the different social portrayal in this book as well.

Meet Prunella, a sweet girl that could not hurt any living thing. See how gentle she was with all living things. The art work was lovely.
Prunella had many good qualities. But she also had fears, and the fears multiplied when she was forced to move out of her country. Everything was new to her and she was scared of everything. Meanwhile, she was having pain on her tooth and was afraid of a rodent that might come take it. I kind of felt that there were two separate issues here that didn’t quite coincide.
Oddly enough, it was her tooth superstition that opened her up to the new kids at school.
Story was a good reflection of the differences in cultures around the world. Was this more a story about Prunella facing her fears as the new kid in a new country? Or was this more about Prunella figuring out the legend of the Tooth Fairy? Either way, it was about Prunella getting over her fear.

She has also moved to another country with her parents where she is facing language barrier. She has now more than one fear. Will she be able to overcome these challenges?
Petrified Prunella is a short children book. It is Prunella's journey from being petrified to being proud. I loved how writer started the story by describing Prunella's good qualities and then went on to show her fears, this shows how no one's perfect. It really made her a living breathing kid for me. The illustrations were oh so adorable. The diversity and the representation of different cultures and backgrounds was done beautifully. Prunella's transformation and the way she dealt with things was inspiring. Language was simple and understandable so I think children would enjoy this story a lot. 5/5 ���

‘Petrified Prunella’ is an interesting insight into the fear of tooth loss for children and the customs that are set in different countries and what happens after they fall out. Prunella has a major fear over the folklore tale that in French custom children are visited by a mouse that takes the tooth in the night and leaves a coin or sweets in its place. Prunella fears the mouse that will come to claim her tooth until she meets children that all have different traditions built into them, from believing in the tooth fairy, to throwing their tooth in a chicken hut. Prunella is reminded of where she comes from and decides to embrace her culture. This book provides information on different cultures and traditions when children’s teeth fall out – introducing new customs to kids. Good story overall and interesting. I award this book 4 stars.

This is my second book by this author. She writes such cute, incredible stories for kids. I wish I had these kind of books in my childhood that talks about some major (well, at that time its a big deal) issues and changes we go through when growing up. In this book, Prunella is terrified of losing her teeth (which I was too lol) but more than that she was terrified of the rodent that would come stealing it. The author encourages kids to accept their fears, be strong enough to face them and not let the change terrify you at all!
I loved the different cultural representation in this book too. Interesting how different countries have different stories to tell kids what happens when their teeth are out of the sockets :D

I remember as a kid books with illustrations always excited me but I was too lazy to complete them. Reading this short story took me to my childhood and the fun part is I can relate to it today as well.
I can see myself in the the character of Prunella ( the way she was afraid of getting her tooth out ) and was procrastinating about it made me laugh and fearful at the same time. It is a perfect short story for kids and the illustrations make it more fun. I will definitely recommend it for children ( for adults it’s a bit boring like just a simple story with no as such plot or something thrilling). Overall the words used are simple and easy to understand. Took me to my childhood , definitely 5 🌟 for it.

There is a saying by C.S. Lewis which I wholeheartedly agree with. He says,
"A children's story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children's story in the slightest."
So, the author did an amazing job in keeping the story interesting for adults too. It was quite a well-written story. Prunella was a sweet and confident girl and her courage will really inspire everybody who reads the book. Also, it is a very simple but insightful read for the kids.
I thoroughly enjoyed the representation of different cultures at the end of the book and how people from different parts of the world have their own different yet interesting stories to tell.

Petrified prunella is a children's story book about a sweet young girl facing her fears. I absolutely loved the graphics and the fact that it was a novella. In a few number of pages, the author really takes you in another world and keeps you engrossed it. I'd love to buy such books for my younger sisters. Not only the graphics are to the point but with the help of few words the author explained emotions of kids in a nice way. I had a good time reading it. It was a novel experience for me.

I loved this book because even as an adult, I learned something. This bilingual book is perfect for home or classroom, this bilingual book is a great story to teach children about different cultures' customs. I challenged myself to see how much of my high school and college French by reading the French part first, and then the English. The illustrations are super cute and help guide the story along.
