Sevyn and Zuri got on my nerves this whole book. Sev girl how u mad that Zac mad because u holding life threatening secrets. He stayed out ok but you ain't have no right to get mad. She should be glad he still rocking with her. She needs a reality check real quick. Zuri get over it. She been yo sister all of 5 mins. Zuri dad is a drama queen. It was just ok for me

Let me tell y’all something, in part 2 you gonna learn how fucked up being loyal to someone can really get you. A lot of y’all young girls these days thinks being loyal to a man who can’t do nothingggg for you, is gonna take you somewhere far…WELL ITS NOT! Grow up and realize your worth while your youngggg plz!!! So many women be so fucked up at age 40 cause they wanna be so “LOYAL” to men who can’t even take care of you!!! Not that they have to but that they should WANT TOOO!!!! That’s what you realize reading part 2 getting more in detail of Sevyn’s story.
She so lost in who she needs to stay loyal too she doesn’t even recognize when someone is truly showing real love for her. Now I’m not gonna sit here vouch for Zaakirs behavior afterwards, he was hurt and they called it off so to each is own how you wanna handle your situations. You still get the 4 povs but it does focus a lot on Zaakir and Sevyn’s relationship more, way more drama between those two.

Mmmm
I really enjoyed book 1 but this one just flat out didn't do it.
It was so much fluff and moments that had already been touched on then the big plot twist was the most exciting part...not sure of I will read book 3

Great Story except for Zuri , then Seyvn
Zuri ruined her relationship for a sister she never knew, a sister who has been given her hell since they met. And for a Father who constantly disrespects her for her cheating and abusive husband and deranged sister is absurd. I hope Zuni stops acting weak and foolish for people who obviously don't like her. Then they go make Seyvn into an idiot. Really, she turns informant without discussing this with Z. Please allow these two women to think like grown women in the 1st two chapters of book 3 or this series is going to be awful. Book 1 amazing. Book 2 is great until the last 6 chapters.

Man I’m not gone hold you! I almost DNFd this because Zuri & Sevyn were pissin me off REAL BAD! Na I’m used to the female characters being prideful, stubborn, naive, what have you but they were at 1000 with it. Zuri kept trying to dismiss Shai over Kendra because of the news they ALL found out together like he actually purposely did something to her. Then wanna turn around in the same breath and be mad at him cause she won’t go away. Like GIRL! What you want him to do? Cause if he pew pew her you’ll turn around and be like I can’t believe you did that. Sevyn?! Idk she want her cake and eat it too. Za was REAL patient and persistent. Treated her well, made life altering decisions in the name of her and she steady trying to be that “I got this, I don’t need your help” kind of female. Then got the nerve to get mad when needed to process his feelings like he ain’t been there. Ouuuu yeah this book pissed me off bad, but ima keep going cause you know the first one was good or whatever lol.

Book 1 was Fire 🔥 Book 2 a Tragic Mess
Book 1 kept me intrigued and I dove straight into Book 2 with excitement only to be met with insecure and nonsensical women!
Spoilers: How is it you’re more loyal to the man you don’t want and over look the one that’s protecting you. Then you get mad when called on it! Then you leave and mad that he’s not chasing you when he’s been chasing you? Now you’re an informant on a whole police investigation! All because you wanted to be the man instead of having a loyal man! After he gave you a liver? This storyline was unnecessary and chaotic and made me want to put the book down! Lucky for this author I finish every thing I star to include books!
The next female is so insecure she’s willing to sabotage her new relationship because she let her ex husband degrade her continuously and she continuously decided to stay! Her insecure butt is sabotaging her relationship because her long lost sister popped out of nowhere and used to date the new guy she’s seeing and pregnant by. The reason why the sister is mad and lying about that being the man’s baby is because she cheated ruining their relationship and wants him back because he’s loaded!
The daddy is also messy. He’s been riding for the ex husband who he knows abuses his daughter and is now trying to sabotage the daughter’s new relationship because he wants her back with the abuser and he seemingly favors his long lost daughter, not the safety and care of both daughters!
These young ladies are the blond leading the blind!!! No good advice shared at all!
Instead of the book ending, it’s carrying on into a trilogy! I can’t imagine anything interesting happening in that book! I don’t know if I’ll read it! This one gave me a headache literally! I enjoy fiction as an escape, but does it have to have stupid women with no gumption about themselves in every read?!?!
Also research before you write! A weed head isn’t donating any part of an organ. They’d need to detox first and have it all out of their system!

A lot of this book could’ve been cleared up with communication and trust. Ain’t no way you having a conversation three times and the full truth don’t come out. Drama filled. Everything still hitting the fan. Ends on a cliffhanger

Lack luster
Not worthy of a 3rd book. The dumbness is just too much. The author was determined to destroy her characterization of Zuri and Vyn built in book 1. All of sudden Vyn just keep compounding her problems and placing the man she supposedly cares about in danger by keeping secrets and not being truthful. The author is using PTSD and pregnancy hormones to explain the dumbness that comes from Zuri who is destroying her relationship over a sister and father that are toxic. Her decisions are so idiotic that I just didn’t care about the characters. How do you not turn to a man that gives you a kidney, shows that he wants to take care of you, makes your toes curl, shows you what love feels like, and wants to build a future with you who is a mega successful street dude? Honestly other than a body, looks, and great sex, I don't know what Shai sees in insecure, low self-esteem, doormat Zuri is beyond me. Frankly, Zuri and Vyn aren't worthy. They deserve each other and not Shai and Zaakir.

I loved it! can’t wait for part 3
This book was a banger! Shai and Zuri absolutely deserve all the love and happiness they receive. Even after her daddy dropped the bomb on her that she and her man’s ex are sisters, Shai made sure he let it be known that he wanted nothing to do with his ex Kendra and was all for Zuri. Zuri made me mad when she felt Shai wasn’t sympathetic for Kendra’s loss but she didn’t even know the circumstances surrounding her lose and the role Kendra played in it occurring.
Poor Sevyn just can’t catch a dang break. She meets and falls for Zaakir but her dog of a “husband” Tramell just won’t let her be great and grant her her freedom in the form of divorce. He literally is set to make her life a living hell and he damn near succeeded when he got someone to harm her in her salon and almost unalived her. If it wasn’t for Zaakir donating part of his liver and saving her, Sevyn would have been a goner. Zaakir made me mad when he treated her like she was so wrong for not telling him everything about Tramell and Sevyn made me mad for trying to handle the situation herself. Oh my word!! Too much skeletons dropping. I get why Zaakir is upset with Sevyn. I to feel like at this point in the game, there's nothing she couldn't have told him. Now everything is blowing back in their faces. Always trust your gut. Shai done let Giorgio in only for him to screw him over! Queen is gonna have a whole conniption when she finds out. I wish Zuri would live her life to it's full potential. She is coming along well in pregnancy and can't even fully enjoy it. She done got away from Deshawn delusional tail and she needs to loose her father as well. He knows first hand what Deshawn did, yet he wants his cgild to put up with that. Then, he's flaunting Kendra silly tail around causing more damage than good. I was laughing by butt off at that dinner because Kendra deserved that and more! Get over yourself girl because Shai done been moved on. Sevyn done got herself caught up and I could promise you once that skeleton drops out the bag, no one will look at her the same. If Tramel calling hits from jail, what did she really think she would get outta snitching. I pray Giorgio runs and runs fast because hell is about to break loose! I can't wait for part 3

Both Shai & Zuri are making me mad. Zuri constantly being in her feelings about Shai & Kendra, is working my last good nerve. Like Shai said, if the shoe was on the other foot, Kendra wouldn’t care about Zuri’s feelings or what she was going through. And I wish Shai would just tell Zuri the truth, about what he found out at the hospital. That Kendra didn’t miscarry & the real reason why she was laid up in the hospital. I don’t think & I really hope, that Georgio didn’t set Shai & Zakarri up.

Man that cliffhanger took me out how did they know where to find them and did the dad Giorgio set them up. They should have hidden the money and not mess with it for a minute just in case. I wonder if there was a tracker on the money.

Zuri and Syven both worked my nerves. My anxiety was through the roof reading this J Dominique you did your thing with this series. That cliffhanger chile I need answers now. I love Shai and Zaari. Zaari don't care what comes out his mouth he is too funny. Zuri dad and Kendra both gone mess around and find out Queen already have Kendra a sample. I can't wait for part 3

Just ok
I was looking forward to book 2, but it was very underwhelming. It felt dragged out for no reason. This would have been better as a standalone. It’s listed as a romance, but there’s just a bunch of drama and no romance. Also, it was all over the place to the point where things didn’t add up and make sense. Much better editing was needed. I won’t be reading the next installment.

Yeah I'm not feeling Zuri or Sevyn. Those two don't make any kind of since. How are you mad at Shai for some ish your dad did? She just keep doubting him over a sister she's known for two minutes. You divorced your husband but making Shai pay for how you allowed your husband treat you when Shai has only showed you he 100% about you. I honestly don't see why Zaakar or Shai like either of them. They are beyond annoying.

Free and Shai are expected a baby boy and so much darma and pain.Sevyn has alot of stuff going on turning informant for Detective Hill. Tramel is Sevyn husband who is in prison and making her life a living hell. Sevyn is trying to heal from her being shot and losing her baby and having surgery. Shai A'santi and Zaakir A'santi were set-up for extortion. So much going who knows what happens today.

J Dominique is definitely dropping bangers with this series. I love this silences from start to finish. Shai and Zuri can't catch a break. Sevyn and Zaakir situation isn't and better. Both couples truly deserve to be together but the people in there past will not let them be happy. Definitely purchasing part three. Great job.

Great read although Zuri was getting on my nerves about Kendra who happened before she got with Shai, as for Sevvyn I do not blame Zakkir for acting out she should have spilled the beans to her man. Kareem is a dirty scoundrel for trying to disrupt zuri life about some grown-ass woman he fathered. He is messy. This was a great read.

This story is getting messed by the page. Family drama, street drama, and it is all coming to a head. Not being used to all of it Zuri is whining too much. Feeling sorry for her new sister, who is bringing all of the drama. Not cutting off daddy dearest is really messing with her and her relationship. I can't wait for part three.

The saga continues. I wish Zuri would just let her father go, she can love him from a distance. He has no loyalty to her! kendra is a fool! Sevyn should have been up front with Zaakir from the jump, now she;s in further deep water! Zaakir and Shai are being set up, I'm not sure if it's his father or what, but I'm looking forward to the finale !

Loved the first book. This not so much
I loved the back and forth with the couples in the first book. Sevyn is good as a backup but not a main character. I skipped so much. The whole queen pin bit made no kinda sense. I say skip it and just leave it at the first because the 2nd will mess up your thinking on how great the 1st one was. I do not recommend.
I loved the back and forth with the couples in the first book. Sevyn is good as a backup but not a main character. I skipped so much. The whole queen pin bit made no kinda sense. I've been waiting for this book. So disappointed in Zuri and Sevyn. What is trying really hard not to put Ken business out about that baby but her and the weak ass daddy pushing it. Z ton kick Brandon ass when he find out about Sev being a snitch. I hope What daddy didn't set him up, Queen gon get that ass if he did.
I pray in the next book the girls are thinking clearer.

Dinner scene 😂
That’s dinner scene was all I needed 😂😂😂. Loved every word of it. Lawd the prayer, the dressing up. And Kendra getting her tail beat. Lmao. Not understanding why Shai just won’t tell her what Kendra did!!! And Lawd the mess Sevyn has gotten herself into. Smh. On to book 3

So much going on it will be interesting to see how it all ties up. Ms. Zora and Queen will have to take charge in what’s coming cos don’t nobody mess with theirs. Great read. Ready for the rest.
