Debra Dalgleish is founder of Contextures Inc., and has published the popular Microsoft Excel website, contextures.com, since November 2000.

Self-employed since 1985, Debra built hundreds of complex Excel, Word, and Access solutions for her clients, in the Toronto, Canada area, and internationally.

Debra also founded Spreadsheet Day, an annual event that started in 2010, which is celebrated every October 17th.

For many years, Debra was highly active in Microsoft's Excel newsgroups. Every year since 2001, she has received Microsoft's MVP award, in recognition of her contributions to the technical community.

In 2004, Debra was contacted by Apress publishing company, and asked to submit a Pivot Table book proposal, which was accepted. Her book, Excel Pivot Table Recipes, was published in 2005.

Subsequently, Debra wrote two more books for Apress - Excel 2007 Pivot Table Recipes, and Beginning Pivot Tables in Excel 2007.
