What a precious Christmas story! This book fully featured the wonder of Christmas, but also the true meaning of Christmas and that the best gift we will ever receive is Jesus! This series has been so delightful and filled with faith content, strong Christian values, and also good lessons and characteristics for girls to learn.

This was such a great Christmas story! This book starts out in the present with Holly Marie (Eleanor Jo's granddaughter). Grand Doll (Eleanor Jo) as her family calls her, tells the grand kids she is going to tell them a story about a special gift, the best one of all. One that keeps giving and giving and giving. The next day was Christmas and the family had a scavenger hunt (what a neat idea!) and once they was done with the scavenger hunt they listened to the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus's birth. After everyone opens their gifts Grand Doll (Elanor Jo) then tells a story of her growing up in the depression, during Christmas, she told the family of a special Christmas when she was eight years old. The rest of the book is about Eleanor Jo being eight years old and her special Christmas.

This was such a sweet Christmas story and children and adults will love it! I would call this a Christian book because it talks about Jesus a lot and coming to Him (giving your life to Him). Some people will not want to read this book but for me it was a bonus because I had no idea it was a Christian book and that is why I gave it an extra star.

I got this e-book while back from Amazon for free and I would now pay for it since I know what it's about. I will be looking for more books by Elanor Clark.
