Though Hieu is based in Melbourne, Australia, his incredible artwork has been showcased in exhibitions around the world, including Los Angeles, Berlin, San Francisco, and Sydney. Known for both digital and watercolour paintings, Hieu masterfully blends his love of surreal-art styles and Japanese anime. Primarily a watercolour artist, Hieu creates delicate yet vibrant paintings that create an emotional connection with the viewer. His work is driven by the everyday feelings that come with being human, such as love, grief, and nostalgia - those things that can often onlly be communicated through art. Readers will find joy in discovering how Hieu is inspired to create his work, and the process behind each piece. This is a must-have book for any fan of Kelogsloops, or any art fan in general. The production value is incredibly high, making this a book to keep on your coffee table or bookshelf for years to come.

I have been a fan of Hieu’s work for a long time and own some of his prints, so when i found that he released this art book with a lot of his works, processes and general stories about his journey as an artist I was extremely excited. And I have to say it was even better than I imagined! I love his work and learning about how he got to where he is now has been really interesting to see.

I also really appreciate him including his sketches to show that not everything you draw will look like a fully finished piece. It was just a great read and view into his artistic process. I recommend this book for everyone who loves beautiful art and needs an inspiration to see how far you can go with practice and dedication.

A beautiful art book that also doubles as Hieu’s artist journey. There’s a lot more of Hieu’s story on these pages than I expected to find. He’s very open about the highs and lows of his career and invites you into his _whole_ process. A surprise for me is that I don’t think he’s ever mentioned online that he does digital mock-ups before committing to big pieces. I’ve always wondered about that. And seeing his color palette planning for his more recent works is really cool too. Any fan of his work will love this book. It’s a must have! I have more than a few artbooks in my collection and this artbook is by far the most satisfying one I own.

This is probably the most beautiful art book I own. It shows Hieu's learning over time and how hist art changed and processes and has so many of the most beautiful paintings I've ever seen all in one place.

The prettiest book I have! So glad my husband knew me enough to gift it to me 👏👏👏 I keep showing it to everyone who comes to visit, clearly one “piece de resistance” (to quote the artist) in my library.

I have been following Hieu's work online for years, and have always been inspired by his work. To receive such a beautiful edition of his art book and get a behind-the-scenes look at his process was wonderful. I'm so glad to have a copy, and it has inspired me to try my hand at watercolors again soon. This is probably my favorite art book that I own.
