I didn’t know anything about World Heritage Sites being a designated historical place until I visited the Taos Pueblo. After reading this book, I have found that I have visited quite a few of the American sites even though some were visited as a child on family vacations and I just have vague memories of visiting the site. There is some intersection between National Parks and World Heritage sites so good job on the part of the National Parks to preserve these places. I believe Teddy Roosevelt started the trend with preserving the Grand Canyon. I look forward to traveling to some more World Heritage sites like I didn’t know anything about the mounds near St Louis.
