That was a short story, I didn't realise it when I downloaded the book! It's a nice read, but it was very easy to predict who did it.

Inn for Murder is the start of a fresh, new cozy mystery series by Harper Lin. Sophie Grant, having recently moved to Sierra Hills, takes a job at the Wildflower Inn. She loves working with the handsome co-owners and brothers, Max and Jesse. Everything is going well until Sophie happens upon a dead body at the restaurant located inside the Inn, which is immediately shut down for the police investigation. Sophie, eager to get back to work, begins investigating and catches the attention of the handsome detective on the case. Sophie needs to be careful because the killer doesn’t like how close she is getting to solving the case. This was a really good mystery with enjoyable characters
and I look forward to more books in this series.

I received an advanced review copy of this book and found it enchanting. The main character, Sophie, has just started working at the Wildflower Inn, when she stumbles upon a dead body in the inn's restaurant. The inn's owners, the Amandes family, are relatively new owners of the inn and are naturally perturbed that this murder has occurred on their property causing the inn to be closed down for the investigation. Max and Jesse Amandes join Sophie in investigating the victim and why he was murdered at their inn. I enjoyed that this was not a really dark mystery and the romantic elements make it a fun book to read. I look forward to more books in this series.

Such an enjoyable read. From page one the mystery begins. Sophie Grant has just started her new job at the inn and is enjoying it so much. Family owned, the Inn seems to have a lot of secrets which only adds to the mystery of what is going on. A quick read that will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. Looking forward to more books in this series. I received an advanced readers copy of this book.

Engaging new series starts off with a discovery and quickly draws you in to the characters and their approaches to the situation. The interesting history of the Inn, that was introduced through photographs, leads to unexpected discoveries. This is a relatively short book, well developed, and a perfect diversion when you don't have a lot of time available to read.

As a Harper Lin fan I was happy to see she has started writing another series. This new book was really good and promises a great start to what I hope will be many more. The inn set in a vineyard is a beautiful image. The characters, especially Sophie and the brothers, are appealing and I can’t wait to see how they develop. This was a quick, enjoyable read. I can’t wait for the next one.

New series for Harper Lin and this series is going to be a winner. New job in a nice inn. Fabulous setting, good characters and then a dead body. The inn is closed by the police. But Sophie lives at the inn. So while she is not working she is nosing around to see what she can find in clues. I liked the book. Exciting to read the next book.

Sophie has just started her dream job, and she works with some 'dreamy' guys too. When she stumbled onto a dead body, things changes and not for the better. Will the inn be able to survive a murder in their basement? Why was a guest killed? I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Cute little mystery

3.5 stars. This was a cute little mystery. I like the characters and want to get to know them better. The murderer seemed to come out of left field a little. Also drove me crazy that I don’t know what state this cute town is in.

I received a copy from the author.
Harper Lin is one of my favorite authors of all time. There hasn't been a series of hers that I did not fall in love with and this one is no different. Sophie is a likeable, pleasant character. People love her and are drawn to her which makes taking a job at the Wildflower Inn a perfect choice. Unfortunately she finds a dead body at the restaurant which leads to digging into the Inn's past. This turns out to be a dangerous task for Sophie. The first in a new series. Can't wait for more. Thoroughly enjoyed it

This is a light, easy read and interesting. I hope there will be a book 2 because it would be interesting to see which brother will get serious about Sophie.

Sophie works at the Wildflower Inn but when she finds a dead body her second job seems to be finding the killer. Not sure if I am team Max or Jesse, need at least one more book in this series. Secrets and more are in the Inn. What happens when Sophie gets a little too close? Looking forward to book 2.

Everyone who follows my online reviews knows that I love a good Harper Lin novel. This one would prove to be no exception. A brand new series set in an old Inn, it’s a perfect setting for a brand new murder. Our heroine is Sophie, who works at the Wildflower Inn alongside Max and Jesse. Everything is going well until a guest turns up dead. Sophie is a little bit mosey and starts working on solving the case with Detective Connor (who may be the one that will one day capture Sophie’s heart???).

As always, you can read this book in one sitting, while relaxing on the beach or on a long car ride. If you are new to Harper Lin’s books, don’t forget her back catalog, especially the Pink Cupcake series.
