Good read. I didn't see the ending coming.

An agent falls in lust with a suspect in witness protection. He is in the middle of a contested divorce. An agent reveals the identity of the protected witness. All hell breaks loose. Wondering why Alex was so important to the kingpin. Weak on the plot line.

This book was dynamite. It was the sequel to Outcast which I read in 2013. Alex , her mom and dau., Cerena were finally free. No longer in the Witsec program. Xavier Riveria was killed along with John Chase and his dirty partner Donovan. Alex has probably made a mistake by singing pics of Cerena to her father, who hates Alex. There was lots of drama with John Chase, his wife Lorraine and Alexandra. Alex & John were in love and Lorraine hated losing his love to her although, she cheated on John because she hated his job. She was rich. No more! Read Outcast first.

Well I didn't see that ending. So sad about John. But glad that Donovan and Xavier were killed because of what they did. Pilar was arrested & the baby was safe. Alex says she hopes she doesn't live to regret sending those pictures to Tirell but I believe she will. He promises to kill her if he fnds her.

It was a really good book, but the ending was so mean. Good ending cause it can lead to a book three but mean in the sense that it was fair.

Good book. Did not expect that ending with John. Also surprised his partner was the one out to get Alex. A lot if twist and turns with this book. Now I have to read the first sequel.
