This is a short, dramatic, novel that tells the story of how a dog forever changed the lives of three little boys, and their families. The sons of an Iranian doctor and an oil company executive find that their lives cross, with tragic results. The book traces their emotional and physical journeys from pre Islamic revolution Iran to post 9/11 England.

For one boy, a life of crime beckons. For another of the boys, he must deal with religious and political issues in becoming the man he was meant to be.

For some tragedy, brings out the best in them, for others, it destroys them.
The book has approximately 10,500 words.

This was a free Kindle novella. An interesting story--really more of a morality tale, about two boys from very different worlds, and how they end up as adults because of the paths they chose. A dog does play an early role in what shapes these two boys, and then dogs come into play later in the story as well. It was thought-provoking, and really read more like non-fiction than fiction.
