"To whom much is given, much is tested." This quote is a direct reflection of what this book entails. It follows the story of a young woman named La'Rain. We see her go through the good, the bad, and the ugly. While the love story included maybe similar to our favorite urban fairy tale, this author made sure to include some twists, unexpected events, and a jaw dropping conclusion that will have the reader eagerly anticipating diving into Storm's Revenge which is the next part to this story. Great job.

See I was mad at Rico, I'm still mad his butt should have listen to wifey. Queen did her thing in this book, I'm glad she stood up to Ricky and I can't wait for part 2.Storm is coming for revenge for her sister......

I love this book from beginning to end. This book held my attention from page 1. I loved how Rain held down her family regardless of their faults. This wasn't on my top 10 list but I'm glad I read it because it was a good read. The ending was priceless, too bad Rico and Rain were killed but I'd recommend this to read. Hoping Storm's Revenge is just as good.

I need more to read
Can't get enough, wish Rico and rain didn't have to die off so soon and suddenly. But i know storm is going to act up. The brother Donny, i believe will be a better Eddie and deonte his dad.... i need to read more

Good page turner
I didn't want to put this book down. This was the first time I read anything from this author and I must admit that I am hooked. Even though there was a lot of grammatical errors which I will blame your editing team otherwise the book was great.

A Really Good Book
This was a really good read. It was definitely a page turner. I love the way Monique Love showcased the love between Rain and Rico and the fact that they always remained family oriented. You don't see that a lot in this genre. I just wish their lives together lasted a little longer, but I know when you're in the game all bets are off. I'm going to stop right there before I tell the entire story and ruin it for other readers, but great job Monique Love. I can't wait for the sequel.

There were a few inconsistencies within the pages of the book but overall it was an alright read. The point of view was kind of confusing initially but once you sorted through it, the story became better. I would read the second part to see what happens and hopefully some growth from the author.

This book changed different voices consistently. I kept getting lost as to who was speaking. I'm glad this was a free book otherwise I would be upset. Wouldn't recommend this book.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It definitely took me for a ride. I surely wasn't expecting that ending. Cant wait to read part two and three!
