What do you do when you watch your parents go from kingpin to crackhead right in front of your eyes; when a drug deal gone bad causes you to lose your mother, brother and life as you know it all at once? Meet La'Rain Peters known in the streets as Rain. From her early childhood years her life was anything but normal. Her extensive knowledge of the drug game followed her from a young age right into adulthood. It wasn't until the sexy son of a Columbian drug lord was stunned by Rain's striking beauty that she realized she can also rule. You'll witness how a man and a woman torn by the love of money and power, past losses, present fears, and the paradox of their growing ambition for the game withstood their love for one another. Rain becomes the woman everyone loves to hate. Will she know when to stop, or will her greed for money cause her to self destruct!
"To whom much is given, much is tested." This quote is a direct reflection of what this book entails. It follows the story of a young woman named La'Rain. We see her go through the good, the bad, and the ugly. While the love story included maybe similar to our favorite urban fairy tale, this author made sure to include some twists, unexpected events, and a jaw dropping conclusion that will have the reader eagerly anticipating diving into Storm's Revenge which is the next part to this story. Great job.
See I was mad at Rico, I'm still mad his butt should have listen to wifey. Queen did her thing in this book, I'm glad she stood up to Ricky and I can't wait for part 2.Storm is coming for revenge for her sister...... #TeamTwins
I love this book from beginning to end. This book held my attention from page 1. I loved how Rain held down her family regardless of their faults. One lesson that resonates in this story is treat others the way you want to be treated. Pick up this page turner today and find out why everyone is anticipating Storm's Revenge like I am. You will not be disappointed!!!!!
This wasn't on my top 10 list but I'm glad I read it because it was a good read. The ending was priceless, too bad Rico and Rain were killed but I'd recommend this to read. Hoping Storm's Revenge is just as good.
No no no no no is all I could say this book had me from chapter to chapter fast pace read I do recommend all readers to read nothing book at the end was mind blowing with a huge twist at the end that had my mouth wide open now on to the next book called Storm's Revenge
This book was on fire. I wanted it to be longer and was hoping there was going to be a part 2 and yes it just came out. I can't wait to see what happens.
Can't get enough, wish Rico and rain didn't have to die off so soon and suddenly. But i know storm is going to act up. The brother Donny, i believe will be a better Eddie and deonte his dad.... i need to read more
I didn't want to put this book down. This was the first time I read anything from this author and I must admit that I am hooked. Even though there was a lot of grammatical errors which I will blame your editing team otherwise the book was great.
This was a really good read. It was definitely a page turner. I love the way Monique Love showcased the love between Rain and Rico and the fact that they always remained family oriented. You don't see that a lot in this genre. I just wish their lives together lasted a little longer, but I know when you're in the game all bets are off. I'm going to stop right there before I tell the entire story and ruin it for other readers, but great job Monique Love. I can't wait for the sequel.
This book was so so good I never read a book you Monique Love but I am so glad that I did cause this was good I just love me so Gangsta Ladies Rain was bout that life and they she was force to reckoned with, now I am on to Storm Revenge. Keep up the good work Ms. Love
There were a few inconsistencies within the pages of the book but overall it was an alright read. The point of view was kind of confusing initially but once you sorted through it, the story became better. I would read the second part to see what happens and hopefully some growth from the author.
GOOD READ BOOK KEEP ME ON THE EDGE OFMY SEAT TRAIN WAS THAT LADY SHE HELD IT DOWN FOR HER B HUSBAND BEFORE AND AFTER HE LEFT WAITN FOR PART TWO CAN'T WAIT
was a good read but there was so misspelled words and I feel like the diary part should have came b4 the chapter...other than that it was good and I will b waiting on part 2
This book changed different voices consistently. I kept getting lost as to who was speaking. I'm glad this was a free book otherwise I would be upset. Wouldn't recommend this book.
