Moan For Bigfoot ------------------------- If you go into the woods today...

Moan For Bigfoot 2 --------------------------- A foiled escape...

Moan For Bigfoot 3 --------------------------- Poor Porsche. How can she leave all of this behind and return to civilization? When she's in the arms of her Bigfoot, warm and snuggly in his matted fur, the only thoughts going through her mind are of utter bliss. But...the new day dawns and reality has a way of creeping in and shattering the growing love between an ape and its mate.
Hey, don't judge. I needed me some truly brain dead reading and boy did I ever find it in this "Moan for Big Foot" collection. You can probably figure out what it's about from the title and the young beauty in the nightie who is lost in the woods. She moans for bigfoot and his disturbed mom who wields a vibrator, her two friends do too. She also moans for an older married man. Chick likes to get her moan on. There really isn't much more to say here, now is there?
It's silly and ridiculously gross and filled with rapey horror and TSTL cliches and the writing is very, very basic but you know what? I kept reading it . . . Totally worth my $3.99 haha.
Like so many of you debating on purchasing this e-book, I discovered this via one of the various "sex with _____" articles that mentioned Virginia Wade's Monster Menage Series. I couldn't help but be lured in by the rather well done cover and the price tag- zero dollars. I honestly and truthfully expected to find something completely and utterly awful that I could pull apart and joke about with my friends- after all, the self-published erotica world is full of various different books, many of which are pretty badly written and obviously intended to be read one handed for about however long it takes for the reader to "get tired", if you catch my drift.
Surprisingly, this was fairly well written and also relatively tame as far as erotica standards go. I'll warn people up front that you'll find themes of semi-bestiality (Bigfoot is sorta human, I guess, and he's called Leonard in the book) and rape. If not for the whole "I'm banging Bigfoot" thing, this would probably be an easy way to introduce people into the whole rape erotica genre. Adding in the Bigfoot factor complicates that a little, since not everyone will be really all that comfortable with sex scenes involving a semi-humanoid, ape-like man.
What makes the book more accessible to curiosity seekers is that Wade is pretty good at what she does. There's a reason that this book sold well enough to be mentioned in various different news sources and even if Bigfoot sex isn't your thing, it was easy enough for me to see why this work got to be as popular as it did. Part of what I felt made this as easy to get into is that while Leonard is obviously not a human male, Wade sort of writes him as if he was one- even going so far as to have her lead character of Porsche say that he was pretty much just like the average horny males she'd come into contact with. This is reinforced by the similarities between Porsche's sexual encounters with both Leonard and a human male she'd had sex with earlier in the novella.
I honestly can't say that Bigfoot sex is really my thing, but Wade does bring a few interesting things to the table. Something she put in her afterword kind of intrigues me to read a little further. The next part is somewhat of a spoiler, but it could help some of you give this a bit of a chance and read on.
I realize the bar is low for stunt-erotica, but this was pretty terribly written. The hero, named Portia--inexplicably spelled "Porsche"--goes on a camping trip with some friends only to be kidnapped and taken to a bigfoot's sex dungeon. She and her indistinguishable friends Leslie and Shelly then proceed to enjoy being raped by an ape-man who says "Good" a lot.
I honestly couldn't tell how seriously this book was taking itself. It felt pretty genuine, but I don't know the genre tropes that well. If Wade was having a laugh, she played it very straight. The line "Suck me, beautiful" appears without any apparenty irony, but apart from that, there was nothing to distinguish clunky prose from intentionally clunky prose. Commas get in the way, the one semicolon in the entire piece is used incorrectly, it's never clear who's speaking unless they're being penetrated, and every goddamned building is described as "rustic".
The sex scenes, which amount for about half the book, are fairly well-constructed, but they get boring after a while. Oh, we're going to do this bit again. Okay. I see she's being "filled completely" once more. Okay. Good for her. The few jokes that landed well all happened in the middle of sex scenes, though, and the prose flowed (as it were) a lot more cleanly (as it were) during those bits.
Also, it's not so much a book as it is a teaser for the fifteen book (!) Moan for Bigfoot Anthology, stopping on a cliffhanger and leaving anyone interested in the paper-thin plot rather unsatisfied (as it were).
On the other hand, it's free, and it can be read in an hour or so, so I can't say I feel cheated.
Wade does an excellent job of "easing" her readers into her story by starting off with toned-down raunchy. However, one does not have to read far before things start to get really intense with Bigfoot sex scenes. It seems as though Wade does her best to write the most twisted scenarios possible, shamelessly (as she says) challenging social barriers in order to arouse her readers. Wade uses a bold writing style, and does not mince anything. But not only that, Wade has created a well thought out story woven into this erotica. She has come up with some of her own Bigfoot folklore to serve the purpose of her story, has thoughtfully developed her characters, and sends these characters on a true adventure. I am genuinely impressed with the planning that must have gone into creating this series.
What makes this story especially unique is that, as described, it is a "monster sex series." Yes, this is Bigfoot having sex with 18 year old girls. This scenario gives Wade the freedom to really let her imagination run free with unique possibilities. As such, readers are in for an enticing ride.
Some may say that this story "glorifies rape." While I can see why some may say this, I think it is important to keep in mind that this is erotica and is intended for a sole purpose: to act as an arousal. This type of story is not intended to be analyzed for anything beyond what it is. So what can I say? Get your panties out of a twist (literally and figuratively) and allow yourself to enjoy some of the best erotica out there.
This is definitely not my type of book. It has much to much of some aspects for me. Now, Saying that I probably would have NEVER read anything like this but the controversy behind the books led me to grab it up at the cost of nothing so I told myself I really wouldn't loose anything. I was surprised VERY surprised on how well it was written. It was quite fast paced. And if you can get around "bigfoot sex" then it has a wonderful story line (that I got at the end of the book) I was actually wondering to myself could these to love each other. Wondering how the rest of the 15 books (a little much really_but they are short!) play out and end. I am thinking I am never going to find out. I may try some other of her books to see if they are a little less furry.
Overall the writing is suprisingly NOT that bad, but I can't get over the subject lol. Still she is making 30,000 a month writing, and I'm not so.... something must be working for her!
