Dear Friends -I am beginning a new book like an old sermon; but as you know I have been so accustomed to preach all my life that whatever I say or write will more or less take the shape of a sermon; and if you had not by this time learned at least to bear with my oddities you would not have wanted any more of my teaching.' I'm back George! I cannot leave you for too long. Your story writing has found a special place in my heart. You are a true mystic . . . and I love you for it.

Your first sermon preached in your new parish was probably one of the most insightful renditions of Peter walking on the water that I have ever heard. I'm already into Volume 2 of the Seaboard Parish.
