Can the Young-Boy be seen? He puts as much care into his invisibility as the Young-Girl does into her appearance, and it would be an overcorrection to assume that the visibility and simplicity of the Young-Girl’s manifestations does not make her concept more visible, at least in comparison to the Young-Boy. If the Young-Girl hides within her visibility, the Young-Boy hides even within that hiding. The discourses of the Young-Boy are always exempt from analysis: either too unquestionable, too insignificant or too dangerous to discuss, sometimes - tellingly - more than one at a time. It is mainly in naming the Young-Boy that this text will deviate from, and maybe even resist him; in many others, as you will hopefully learn to observe, it is itself symptomatic.
