Gleanings of a Highland Harvest

Rate this book
New Edition with a biography and historical background by J. Douglas Macmillan. These people lived with an open and well-read Bible, a private place for prayer on hillside or shore and the melody of public praise. Affectionate and spiritually exercised, their words and deeds give remarkable insights into Christian faith. Your heart will warm as you enjoy reading about their lives and you will long for something of their joyful and close walk with God. A new introduction to this book provides fresh insight on the author from one who knew him well. The supplement gives a historical background on the times and topics written about.

We are put to shame by the piety of the men and women recounted in this volume. It is useful for Christians to reflect on their own conduct in the light of the giants of old.
