A well explained approach to developing sport specific speed and acceleration. Examines what speed is, how to achieve speed and then offers training plans and drills Taylor's for the needs of sports ranging from basketball, football, baseball and of course track.

Good to know the basics of the requirement of running speed. But again, pretty basic. I guess it is much better if you have all the series of this book. Three elements are improving your force capacity, rate of force development and stretch-shortening cycle (SSC).
