The Funny Bunny Fly

Rate this book
Something doesn’t smell right at Mr. Abel Throppe’s bakery. Eighteen customers are sick, and they’re blaming it on his pie! What could have caused this awful epidemic? It seems a funny bunny fly has taken up residence in the bakery. You see, Funny Bunny Fly doesn’t like to be clean. Prior to entering the bakery, he rolled in some dog doo-doo and is spreading germs all over town! Mr. Throppe better keep his bakery clean, or he’s going to lose his customers and gain a permanent new tenant.

The Funny Bunny Fly is a cautionary tale about hygiene that’s playful and fun. Bethany Straker’s silly rhymes are complemented by her colorful and wacky illustrations. The Funny Bunny Fly is sure to keep the laughter bubbling—and, hopefully, the soap too!

Gross!! I was curious. Not a book I'd recommend to anyone, well, I showed it to co-workers, who then took a look. Evenly divided over no ways and this is funnies! Too much of a yuck factor for me to enjoy, but, evidently, some will love it! Just not me. The illustrations were a total gross out.

Ok, maybe it will teach kids to wash hands and cover food, etc... it's still yucky.

3.25 Stars My co-workers all read this in horror and said "You need to read this" I was worried ! What was I getting myself into! I actually wasn't as horrified as I thought I might be. I actually think this way. I was told when a fly lands on you, it pooped. So keep clean America, kill your flies, cover you food, wash your hands...and don't blame the baker..it was the dirty, icky, poppies flies fault!

A fun, delightful picture book with a strong message! The Funny Bunny Fly, with its detailed, colourful illustrations, is a gorgeous edition to my picture book collection, as well as, a 'gross', entertaining book for little ones. Its rhyming was wonderful and the issues of hygiene it raises are well-explained for the age group. I would highly recommend!
