Packed full of lively accounts of John's days as a test pilot (for the Harrier and many other types) and rounded off with some great insights into how to improve your flying, this is a book which nobody who has an interest in flying or the history of aviation can afford to miss.
I was incredibly lucky to have had John Farley as a mentor and a colleague. It was an honour and a pleasure to have known him, and if you really want to learn about flying from one of the greats, this is the book for you. John passed away last year, but I can hear his gentle, but authoritative voice, and wicked sense of humour, still, in these pages.
