Theirs was a meeting of pure chance, clearly fate was up to something when Becca and Jon were stranded in a secluded area after the final location movie shoot. After a weekend of raw desire and an almost fantasy-like insta-love, Becca and Jon are now back in London, preparing to meet their friends and family head on with the news of their new-found love.
What they feel is passionate, deep and life-changing, after all, don’t the best things happen when you least expect them? How do they handle the less than welcoming attitudes from parents and best friends alike? Alone, they can keep the world and its harshness at bay as they strive to become even more intimately bonded. If they never had to leave their bed or Jon’s apartment, life would be perfect, but reality is banging on the door and work is calling. Do they have more than a sinfully decadent love life between them or will outsiders be right to doubt their feelings?
Barbara L.B. Storey’s second book in her Fate Chose Us series, INTRODUCING US once again brings the sweetness of new love, the spice of scorching romance and the magic of two souls coming together against the odds. Becca is a pure delight, young, sweet and naïve, she sparkles like a star in the sky. Jon has his own sense of innocence in that he has never experienced or believed in the feelings he has for Becca. As her guide in all things intimate, he opens a new world to Becca, a willing and trusting pupil.
Ms. Storey has NOT just written an erotic tale with heat-filled scenes, she has truly created a love story and immersed it in the physical expression two people share with honest passion. Yes, an erotic romance can be cute, as witnessed through the pen of Ms. Storey and her two charming characters. Definitely a gem of a read filled with the fiery passion of love, the sweet desire of two hearts and a simple tale not over-crowded with angst-filled moments.

They have come so far, yet not everyone is happy that sweet and shy Becca and the movie industry’s heartthrob, Jon are in love. When they discover their intimate world of two is about to become and real family of three, Becca’s world becomes blissfully perfect, but…there are still the cynical skeptics to win over, Becca’s best friend, Jayani and Jon’s overbearing mother, Ruth. What will their reaction be to what should be a time of joy and love?
Then, it happened, a brutal and heartbreaking event that will leave both Becca and Jon broken. Now they must tell their families of both the pregnancy and their grievous loss. What will follow will be their time to heal, their time to share and hang on to each other for strength, or so Becca thought.
Jon is shattered and has taken on the burden of blame. Instead of realizing that Nature does things in its own way, Jon has decided he has done something wrong, that he has hurt the love of his life and pulls away, building his own prison of unshared pain. Could this be the end that some have predicted? Isn’t their love deep enough to weather the storm of loss? What doesn’t kill us should make us stronger, but Jon refuses to see the further pain he is causing Becca. Will love rescue them from the impending doom of their relationship?
Barbara L. B. Storey brings this trilogy of passionate love, created through Fate to a close with less sweetness and more painful reality. The atmosphere of FINDING OUR WAY is darker, more emotionally taxing and yet, still just as much of a beautiful love story as the previous books in this trilogy. Becca has gained strength and Jon finds his fame and fortune cannot buy him freedom from human agony. Ms. Storey has given more depth, more maturity and more drama to FINDING OUR WAY while still maintaining her heartfelt style of writing and her love for her characters front and center.

I'm not usually one for insta-love, instant attraction, yes, but deeply in love in 3 days was a little much for me. I like a decent build-up, but that's personal preference. I found that this read also had a little too much repeated inner dialog. Their love, after all their inner turmoil and extenuating circumstance, was beautiful. Check the TWs.
When Becca and Jon find themselves stranded in the middle of nowhere for a whole weekend, things between them get cozy pretty quickly. Little food, no cell services, a broken-down car - if only the set house they were just shooting the movie in was useable. Unfortunately, it's a sleeping in the car/pitching a tent kind of weekend for them instead. Not that they seem to mind.
Right off the bat, they start getting very personal with their conversations and feelings toward each other. It's almost weird, but it is cute in its own way. Their interactions are sweet, but they both come off as awkward so at times the reader is sitting there thinking "is this really happening? this would never happen" but overall, the writing keeps you wanting to know what will happen next - does anyone shows up Monday to rescue them? do they fall in love? what happens after this weekend alone is over? - and has you curious for what's in store for these two lovebirds.
I read this in one sitting. I can not remember the last time I read a romance, but this touched me deeply. Beautifully written, left me eager for the next installment!
A film crew member, that is what Becca is. Out there in the desolation just beside the old and estranged cottage that served no purpose was the destination of the shoot for days long. Once done it was her job to look back, tidy things up and leave. Alas, the godforsaken car had other things in mind when it cuffed up smoke a million times before finally refusing to stop. It was a scene out of a movie, only it was a scary one and no one would be filming it. Much worse is the realisation that the dangers out here wouldn't be props made out of foam but reak hazards that could be fatal.
Out there in the desolate place sitting in her car and cursing her luck, Becca heard a voice. A voice beckoned up at her, so she wasn't the only one here. She made a little jump of joy when she realised that it was none other than the star of their movie, Johnathan Jacobs! Although excited and enamoured at his handsome build, Becca didn't take long to realise that even he was as abandoned as she was. They were out in the woods, alone without aid, helpless and isolated from the civilisation.
Finding our way is a romance novella that matches the symphonies created in the past. It is the one that brings two people out of such different profiles together in a situation they have never been to. Pitched against the harm they grow to love and such a fiery passionate one it is that it will light your hearts on fire. I love the flow of the book and also the circumstances created for furthering the storyline. All occurrences are believable and thus provide a more realistic approach to the entire story. I loved the plot and for someone who loves watching hold Hollywood romances and Christman movies, this is one that suits me just fine.
Barbara L. B. Storey is a writer who is particularly fond of certain book series - The Lord of the Rings and Outlander in particular - of poetry, historical fiction, mysteries and thrillers, biographies, and history of almost any kind, but particularly art and political.
The story revolves around the protagonist named Becca and Jon. For the whole weekend, two people were stranded in the middle of nowhere with no way to contact assistance. The opportunity for Becca and Jon to invite a particular someone into their tightly guarded lives and fall in love. Becca and Jon experience the highs and lows of an improbable love story that neither of them could have imagined thanks to a strok of luck, despite how drastically different they are. This passionate new adult book takes you on an adventure you won't soon forget. It is tender, romantic, and full of heat. You'll adore Jon and Becca's tale if you're a fan of Notting Hill. Turn the pages to now everything in detail. Starting from the writing style, characters, plot, suspence, cover, and title everything is perfect. The author has mentioned everything in detail which gives the reader a clear information about everything. We get to know more about characters which makes the book more intersting to read. I loved how the author has written the story. Highly recommendable to everyone reading this review!
Becca and Jon meet on a movie set where they are both stranded. They spend the time alone getting to know each other and find they have an instant attraction and pull toward one another. It's a whirlwind romance with lots of spice and intsa-love where they will need to learn how to make it work outside of the love bubble they got to have for a short time. Real life can tear them apart if they don't work to find out if the love they feel is real or just a fast fling. They communicate well usually and not everyone in their lives is willing to accept how fast things are moving for them and how they could possibly make it work. When tragedy strikes them, it will be the true test of if they can make it work or let it destroy them. It was interesting having it broken into three parts, but I found I enjoyed it. I thought sometimes they talked about some things over and over again and it was a bit much for me, but it wasn't horrible and didn't take away from the story at all. it does have a couple trigger warnings to be aware of and it does end happily, the story isn't over and will continue in the next book and I'm anxious to see what will happen next for Becca and Jon.
The magic of finding the right person to be with was a wonderful theme in this novel. I found it interesting focusing on the relationship minutiae of two very different people and how it trickles over into the rest of their lives. It was so easy to be pulled into both Jon and Rebecca’s emotional journey of both ups and downs as situations change beyond their control. With a wide range of feels -from steamy passion happiness to sadness and worry, a reader can experience this emotional story along with the characters. It was also satisfying to see some semblance of relationship realism - both with Jon and Rebecca as well as their extended friends and family - as the story unfolded.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily sharing my honest review.
This was a beautifully crafted love story. The characters were authentic, and I thought that Jon was a charming and sweet hero. It was a short read, and the romance happens quickly over the course of a weekend, but it was well-executed and believable. A great book if you like your romances to be sexy, yet sweet. I really loved that while this novella is part of a series, it avoided the cliffhanger ending and instead relies on the strength of the characters to leave readers wanting more. I'm definitely looking forward to the next installment and getting to read more about Becca and Jon’s lives.
What happens when two people from opposite ends of the planet get stranded in the woods?? One amazing love story!!
Becca is super shy while Jon is a celebrity and they have zero in common. That is until they start getting to know each other. I loved this story so much!! This is the first book I’ve read from Barbara Storey but I will not be the last!
Please watch TW as there are some very sensitive subjects towards the end of the book 🖤🖤
After Jon and Rebecca find an instant connection far away from regular life, they must then navigate their way through highs and lows. Very emotional. The author does a fantastic job of allowing the reader to see/feel all the emotions both main characters are feeling. I was rooting for Jon and Rebecca throughout the entire story. Looking forward to reading more by this author, and hopefully more about Jon and Rebecca!
Becca and Jon work in the same industry but are polar opposites. They find themselves in a situation where they are somewhat trapped and have to come together to make it through a weekend together. As they spend time together, they share more about themselves and you can feel their connection grow. I loved watching their progression and it was a sweet story to read! I recommend this for those looking for a lighter, easier read.
Romance fans will get lost in Becca's journey as she discovers that you can fall in love with a stranger in a matter of days given the right circumstances. Storey's prose is accessible and imaginative, providing just enough description for the reader to create the setting in his or her mind. Looking forward to the next chapter in this romantic saga.
Becca, a set designer at a movie shoot is the last person to leave for the weekend when her car won't start. She's in a remote area where there isn't any cell reception so she has no idea how she's going to get out of there. Then she sees a man walking out of the trees and is afraid for her life. He turns out to be the star of the movie and couldn't believe everyone had left without him. At least there is one woman in her car still there so he's not completely stranded. Surprise! Yes he is.
Becca and Jon spend the weekend together getting to know each other. As they talk about their lives sparks fly between this pair.
This is a wonderful romance about a couple who met by accident and found they not only liked each other but were strongly attracted too. The writing is so well done that I could feel this couple's emotions and really liked them. Even though Jon is a famous, handsome movie star, we got to see the real man behind the 'star'. Surprisingly he's insecure and sensitive. That's very different from the persona he displays for the public. While Becca is excellent at her job, she's star struck when she first sees Jon. That changes as she gets to know him and they share funny stories.
Stranded With You took place over 3 days but it didn't feel rushed. I really liked the ending. I enjoyed this story and am glad I got a copy from the author. Please note that I'm reviewing this book as I do with everything I read - not because I was asked to.
After being stranded in a remote location after a movie shoot, Becca and Jon fell in love. They are back home now with the task of making their family and friends accept their love and to make sure they both still feel the same way as they did when they were stranded.
The way this wonderful story is written makes it easy to see that you never know when love might hit and that it doesn't have to be a long, slow process. Sometimes you just find the right person and the feelings happen fast.
Even though there are a lot of sex scenes in this story, it's clear that it's not just sex for this couple. The love between Jon and Becca shines through clearly. I felt sorry for them with the challenges they had in showing others that their feelings were true. It's easy to get caught up in Jon and Becca's story.
I was very lucky to have won a copy of Introducing Us, the second book in the Fate Chose Us Series and recommend it to readers who like hot romances.
