Safe Haven No More?

When Trevor Harrison founded New Argana, he envisioned it as a place magical and nonmagical people could call home without fear of the powerful and sadistic Talented. An arcane shield protected them from the deadly magic of the Calanarian Wastes and allowed them to live in peace.

But the shield is developing cracks, and even Harrison is at a loss to discover why. If he can’t find the answer and fix it soon, he may be forced to send everyone back home—a move that, for many of them, will be every bit as dangerous as remaining in New Argana.

Unfortunately, his only solid clue about the problem’s cause might put him in direct opposition with someone even more powerful than he is—someone who might be an enemy, or might be his only hope for saving the town.

Someone who is destined to discover some secrets of his own…

Also, return to the past, to Harrison’s early days on Calanar—his fateful meeting with the brilliant engineer who would become his strongest ally, the terrifying return to Earth that nearly cost him his sanity, and the founding of the city of New Argana.

Calanar holds its secrets close, but they cannot remain hidden forever.

Important note>
While Full House is a complete story, some of its plotlines and characters are based on events that occurred in the Alastair Stone Chronicles series, most notably The Lost Scion and Strange Bedfellows. The Stone series and the Calanar series were always meant to occur in the same universe, and this novel is where they start to overlap. You'll still be able to enjoy Full House without reading the Stone books, but you'll get more enjoyment if you're familiar with both.

The world of Calanar intrigues me

Harrison’s story and his life, as secretive and compelling as it is, is starting to really intrigue me. New Argana is becoming more interesting. This series in my opinion is definitely developing a lot slower in character development than the Stone Chronicles and their characters, but nevertheless, the story line and the individual main characters are becoming more familiar and interesting to me. Maybe because it takes place in a different world and dimention and my brain is telling me that it’s just fantasy…or maybe not? LOL Anyways, it’s a very good read and I can’t wait to get more familiar with the cast and the continuing story line.

R.L has done it again!!

As fans of The Alistair Stone chronicles we asked for more of Harrison after he became part of the Stone Chronicles. Originally it was only going to be a trilogy but this book is #4 and there'd better be many more because this has a huge cliffhanger! I loved this from start to finish! We got so much of Trevor's back story while getting the new story it was amazing. I know some didn't care for the time changes but I loved it! I can't wait for the next one!!

Love the new Calanar story

I just finished reading Full House and I loved it. The back story of Harrison on Calanar and the very believable problems faced in both past and present kept me reading straight through, which means a rather significant loss of sleep but the loss was well worth it. The only problem is the book ended too soon, so now I have to wait for the next one. I hate to wait.

More of a filler book..

Trying not to have spoilers..
Story is good, but nothing was "solved ". More back stories about the past, but I am not sure what the conclusion is. Another mystery to be solved as the cliff hanger, and I get it for a new book. Just frustrating as nothing was resolved in this book. So many things talked about, then we are at the end. Not the best book.

Glad to see the backstory

I didn't like the POV changing back and forth in time. It was confusing and ruined any tension the book might have had.

The main character was supposed to be brilliant, but made the classic mistakes. Sure, you might be a great mage but there's nothing wrong with carrying a few grenades too.

Aaaaaa! Just when I thought I was getting some loose threads tied up, new twists tie Calanar, Earth and their multidimensional characters together in new ways. This book introduced new ways if seeing some characters and deepened some of the development and relationships of others. So hard to share how much fun I had reading this one and how excited I am without spoilers.

Amazing Addition to the Calanar series

I’ve enjoyed Calanar since it was first introduced into the Alastair Stone Series. Book Four really helps piece together everything we knew about Calanar. It’s not over yet 😊

To R.L.King,
I can not a imagine how long you carried the Calanar storyline in your head. I have only one question for you. How does your brain feel now?

A good story

This is an enjoyable story about Trevor Harrison which revealed more of his past in Calanar and also told about a problem he must solve in present day Calanar.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a terrific opportunity to get a bit more inside the head of the enigmatic Harrison, as well as understand more of New Argana's creation. The interaction between Harrison and his sire is rife with interesting possibilities. And the little bit at the end, well... It appears we'll be spending more time on Calanar - and with dragons - in the future. Yay!
