This story is about Bart and how determined he is to stand up for what he believes to be true. And he believed it was going to rain. It teaches that it doesn't matter how many negative comments you get, you shoukd be focusing towards your goals.

I was granted complimentary access to I Think It Might Rain as part of my participation in a blog tour for this title with Goddess Fish Promotions. Thank you to all involved in affording me this opportunity! My thoughts are my own and my review is honest.

I Think It Might Rain is a cute story about a little boy named Bartholomew (Bart) who has a big imagination, a telescope, and a healthy sense of caution. When he sees a rain storm far off in the distance while getting ready for school he decides to dress in a full rubber yellow rain suit despite the sunny clear sky and faces ridicule all morning. All morning, that is, until break time rolls around and a storm has rolled in, and only Bart and one other well-prepared child are able to enjoy their time outside.

This is a beautifully illustrated book that should capture the attention and imaginations of kids whenever its pulled out. I thoroughly enjoyed looking at each page as I read.

The story itself is a little long, making this the sort of picture book story that's best for story time read by an adult or for older kids who are just about ready to move on to chapter books. My one complaint isn't about the story itself or the length necessarily, but the amount of text placed on some pages and the design choice to decrease the font size to accommodate that large text block without blocking the illustration. Differences for emphasis, like the illustrated page of Bart screaming "It's going to rain!" are fine, but for everything else, the font should remain consistent in typeface and size.

I was offered a digital copy of "I Think It Might Rain" by Rick Marchand and illustrated by Nicole Herbut for a Goddess Fish Promotional Tour. Here are my thoughts on this delightful picture book.

Join Bartholomew, a charming and inquisitive third grader, as he wakes up to what he believes is an impending storm. Despite his certainty, nobody else seems to share his conviction. Will he find the courage to hold fast to his belief, even in the face of doubt and ridicule?

Marchand and Herbut, a dynamic father-daughter duo, have created a heartwarming narrative that celebrates courage, friendship, and the power of self-belief. Through Bartholomew's journey, young readers learn valuable lessons about self-esteem and standing up for what they believe in.

The illustrations burst with vibrant colors, bringing Bartholomew's world to life on the page. The text is thoughtfully designed, catering to both early readers and those with more seasoned eyes.

"I Think It Might Rain" is a must-read for children and parents alike. It offers a delightful story that resonates with the joy of staying true to oneself, even when the forecast seems uncertain.

I received a copy of the book for the tour. This review is my honest, unbiased opinion.

I loved reading this book with my 8-year-old daughter, she really liked how no one believed Bartholomew and then it did actually rain in the book! He was right with his predictions, "He should be a weatherman", she declared as she read this book. I agree with that Bartholomew was so great at figuring out that it was going to rain at his age, not even grown-ups get it right sometimes!
The illustrations are bright and fantastic for young readers and the story is interesting and engaging! We are hoping that the author will do more books with Batholomew, more adventures in his dreaming and waking world!
I highly recommend to children of all ages to read about Bartholomew and his predictions!

This was a cute story, demonstrating the power of believing in oneself. Bartholomew saw something in the distance and made a decision to be prepared. He was teased and bullied, but believed that he was still right. When it was proven to be true, he was one happy child. I enjoyed the positive support from the adults and the good-natured response of his best friend. Would make a great bedtime story.
I enjoyed the beautiful illustrations by Nicole Herbut.

I received a copy through Goddess Fish Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.

What’s that in the sky? Wild ideas kept running through Bart’s head at the black speck he saw. Then it hits him that it might rain. It’s a charming version of Chicken Little.

The illustrations were so colorful and lively. I just loved the animated movements and humorous expressions. I would’ve liked some of the text to be a little more readable. What made it harder to read on some of them was the small size and the colored backgrounds. But other than that, I thought this was a delight.

A cute, little story!

This is a good story to remind children about feeling good in their beliefs. Bartholomew believed it was going to rain and regardless of the negativity from most around him, he held to that belief. In the end he was given the reward of standing firm.

Cute story of a boy who thinks on his own and believes in himself.

Read with my 7 year old. Some tricky words for him, but good for an early reader. Cute story.

Overall: recommend.

I liked this story

Entertaining book about a boy who knew it was going to rain. Even though the other kids teased him about it, he knew it was going to rain and enjoyed being dry.
