The editing on the book was ridiculously poor, I counted 5 errors throughout the book - capital letters after commas, the use of 'want' instead of 'what' and 'will' instead of 'we'll' etc. That aside, I found the plot actually pretty good, it was the execution that let it down. It felt like this book was written for profit and not by passion, it felt kind of forced. I also found it hard to imagine the places clearly and tended to get some of the characters mixed up - that might have been because I wasn't that into it...
I've heard about most of the conspiracy theories in this book and the author did a fair job on how he wove them into a story. However, he doesn't understand the Bible very well and some of his assumptions (or his facts), were a little hard to swallow, in my opinion.
The book was full of sentence fragmentation and needed an editor. Also the first letter of the first word (after the quotation), of every chapter was missing. The story also didn't flow very well and the characters really didn't really draw me in. The author seemed to want to take every conspiracy theory out there and try to throw it all into one story. But it was ok enough for me to give it 3 stars.
I'm glad I got it for free, because I'd be asking for a refund otherwise! The lack of editing and horrible formatting make this extremely hard to read. I felt like I couldn't really immerse myself in the story because of the issues! As I got further into the book, there were quite a few sentences I had to read a few times to make out what the author meant, they weren't very clear at all! The story was ok, but I never really felt connected to the characters because of the problems I mentioned. I'll pass on other books by this author.
This book takes many real life events and weaves them into a conspiracy book on the level of The DaVinci Code. This book could be a major book if it were allowed to hit the mainstream. It is well written and engaging.
