I got so much enjoyment reading through this book, seeing all the beautiful gardens and architect throughout gardens. I was so inspired by the Garden Dumbarton Oaks that I ended up booking a trip to go and visit and stay several days in the area sight seeing. Another Garden mentioned was started by Celia Thaxter. Celia and Appledore Island is worth investigating the background and the richness of what is on Appledore Island now.
