If his fiancee hadn't said no, he would have gone all the way with a wedding that was not to the liking of him. I liked the heroin but the hero wanted to please everyone and failed to take into account the own feelings. I thought he cheated because he was days of marriage and wanting to kiss and have sex with the heroine. He never missed an opportunity to make out with heroin. His fiancee was a bitch, but he was going to marry her anyway.
This was a cute story! It captured my attention in the first few pages and kept me interested through to the end! It's very well written, with some suspense toward the end! I couldn't figure out how she was going to realistically being the story to a close as we neared the end of the book, but she did so nicely, and I love not being able to figure out what's going to happen before it does! Anyone who loves sweet romances will enjoy this book!
The wedding of the year was about to become the scandal of the decade! And social secretary Anne Crumm was in the middle of it. The groom-to-be was none other than her former flame, Eric Bellamy—and he looked none too happy about his upcoming nuptials. It was Anne's job to keep Eric out of trouble until the "I do's," but that's exactly where the trouble began. For Eric and Anne had never gotten over each other....
Eric was only days away from making the second biggest mistake of his life. Now with his wedding plans unraveling, he had the opportunity to rectify his first and worst mistake—this time he wasn't going to let Anne go!
I admit to not reading the book completely but the few chapters I skimmed through were bad. The H kept thinking about his dream turning into a nightmare when he is standing there waiting to be married to someone he claims not to love but doesn't have the guts to even break up. Instead he is willing to be tied to someone else forever and then his fiancee breaks up and the next night he proposes to a woman he supposedly loves! Why would any h worthy of herself marry a guy who didn't even appreciate himself or her and was ready to marry someone else?
