Hermsen organized horse breeds by origin, which really helped as I was preparing for a trip to Irish horse country. Included are some signals for adverse behaviors, which I hope in a next edition will be expanded. With a grandfather who kept and trained horses, and a father who used draft animals for farming, I learned a lot from this volume.

Stručně shrnuje základní informace o různých plemenech, disciplínách, ustájení a podobných věcech. Vhodná pro amatéry, kteří se potřebují zběžně orientovat v problematice koní. Knize bych vytkla pouze to, že je zaměřená především na westernové jezdectví, disciplíny anglického jezdectví, jako english pleasure, jsou tak rozebrány pouze v jednom odstavci. Ocenila bych hlubší rozbor a srovnání těchto dvou zcela odlišných způsobů ježdění.

In mijn kopie is een vragenschrift te vinden (met antwoorden) die ik gemaakt had voor een vriendinnetje.

Dit boek was goud waard voor dat kleine meisje dat intens veel van paarden hield maar niet altijd snapte hoe je met hun om moest gaan.
