"Project Code-X: Book 1: Alpha is the Beginning" is part of a trilogy and is a dystopian science-fiction novel with a touch of man-made horror.
The story is told from the perspective of Dr. Rebekka Taft, one of the lead scientists on this project. It is her confession to the world about the events that led to it. "The Science of Words", as a tool for change for an entire nation. Carried out by a brilliant and malevolent mind whose charisma dazzles the ignorant. But even those who know are ultimately just pawns in a game whose momentum can no longer be stopped. It remains unclear what will happen after this terrible "selection" at the end of this book.
