I got this book on kindle and I liked it so much I got a physical copy. If you are interested in hiking in the SF bay area California, I highly recommend this book, or any of the moon outdoors books. I've done several of the hikes and it has been a lot of fun.

This is a good book that described many hikes in the SF Bay Area. It also included some information about public transportation! However, I don't think it's that useful cause I doubt that many people will actually go on all of the 101 hikes she listed. It's good to read about some of them & pick the ones you like. I liked the Coastal Trail she recommended for Marin Headlands & the Steep Ravine Trail for Mount Tamalpais.

A wonderful guide to hiking in the Bay Area -- including many less well known hikes north and east of the city. Each hike is well described along with the best time of year/day to go, any related park fees, etc. My only complaint is that Moon should publish books with color photos.

Great!
Havent gotten a chance to do any of the hikes specifically, but hike at a lot of the places and a GREAT reference to spots you would drive past easily and not even know they were there!

Love this book. Found some great hikes. Moon makes great hiking books. I love how they have summaries, elevation change, and difficulty for every hike.
