Perception and Photography

Rate this book
Perception and Photography relates Gestalt laws of perception to photography, art, and design. The principles are easily grasped and are presented in a highly visualized manner. As author Richard D Zakia explains, "This book, therefore, although addressed to photographers and graphic designers, is really intended for anyone seriously concerned in the shaping or making of visual messages and visual environments. We all have a common purpose - visual communication and expression." Over 163 illustrations - photographs, paintings, graphic designs and type designs - make the book more visual than verbal. Zakia writes for practitioners rather than theorists and shows them the most effective ways to arrange visual elements for best organization and communication.
